I though it would be a repeat of them releasing the entirety of CS2 free to the public (albeit accidentally):
http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html

Still available if anybody wants it.

I tried installing the "free" CS2 on the enterprise eval of Windows 8 and it worked fine other than having to use "progra~2" as the installation directory. Then after I formatted and installed Pro I tried again. It goes through all the motions of installing, but doesn't actually do anything. The folder doesn't exist. Nothing. I'm guessing I don't have rights to the Program Files directory, but the adobe installer doesn't recognize this for some reason.

Every time I think I've got Microsoft's bug nuts crazy permission system figured out they go and change it up. I'm sorry that 99% of windows users have room temperature IQs and are completely incapable of managing to not install the latest Trojan du jour every couple weeks, but please, some of us do actually know what we're doing. Just let us work and get the frak out of the way.

I love their "warning"...

Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software.

What they really mean...

Adobe strongly advises against running software we cannot make money off of anymore
