...and beer, lot's of beer.

Cocoa & coffee crusted steaks.

Unless your girlfriend is a vegetarian.  Then you should break up with her instead of cooking her dinner.

CatherineM: cook naked

I don't know who decided that's supposed to be sexy, but it's really not.  Really, really not.  Changing the air filter on an '84 Buick naked is right about where that sexy level lies.

kwame: CatherineM: I don't know what "romantic" food is.. whatever you like to eat, I guess..

It also needs to be something that doesn't make you too tired to have sexy time and it's also a good idea if it doesn't make anyone fart.

Have sex first, then cook naked..

What, like fried eggs and bacon...owww..

Casu marzu, durian, Jerusalem artichoke, natto, and surstromming all covered with pia are essential.

Cooking naked isn't sexy.  But one of these days I'm going to make a delicious pie and, once it's ready, serve it wearing only an apron and heels with sexy hair and makeup.

Hopefully that will rank above "changing the air filter on an '84 Buick naked."

I don't prefer sex right after eating to be very sexy. I know that's how most couples do date night or whatever, but my belly is full, I have less-than-fresh breath, and I just want to hang out and drink more wine..

Sesame and cornmeal encrusted chicken breasts with a rice pilaf and sauteed garlic spinach.

/with nothing but an apron on because I love my wife of 23 years

I was planning something simple. I was going to cook up some spicy chicken and steak. A side of sliced potatoes, rice and yellow sauce (Do not know what its really called. Peruvian spicy sauce).

You can make anything 'ranch-style' by adding a liberal spooge of ranch dressing...

Ras-Algethi: I'm cooking steak. I was going to ask for everyone's favorite way to do steak. I'm thinking of something I saw on Alton Brown: sear it in a pan & finish it off in the oven.
It's unofficial "steak & BJ" day at the Algethi household.

Do it like Alton Brown does HOWEVER, use melted Coconut Oil on the outside, you'll have to melt it and use a brush but it makes a lovely colored sear on the outside.

It does not taste like coconuts at all. I stumbled on this when I went to make steaks this way and it was the only oil I had in the house.

The 4-hour Chef guy claims that putting the steak in the freezer for 40 mins I think (it's at the end of the google talk on Youtube) make it taste even better by drying it out. I haven't tried this yet because my freezer isn't great.

No it's more like ranchero sauce at a mexican restaurant, but with cumin.

In my case, doing a lamb leg in the smoker, pulled pork in the pressure smoker, a couple of decent steaks in the souis vide that will be seared and cut up with some country ham into a wild rice mix. Home made chocolate covered strawberries with a special dark chocolate on a lindy's style cheese cake (thick, heavy, can break the table). The only side for the main meal is air fried thin cut French fries coated in duck fat for flavor. I wanted to do an onion soup as well, but my better two-thirds said that would be over the top.

Friday breakfast will be duck fritters.

i am making sushi.  going to either put them on a platter in the shape of a heart, or try to form some heart shaped rolls... the five year old is "helping" so should be cute and messy..

i don't have unagi sauce.... anyone know how i can fake it with  - any combination of - oyster sauce, teriaki sauce, hoisin sauce, sweetened soy sauce, reg soy sauce and rice wine vinegar?? (these are all in the cupboard...)

OK, when you guys are done posting pictures of frozen pizzas, how about recommending a good one-pot dish, like casserole-style or something (can't be arsed to make 3 different things). I saw some pilaf suggestions above, and I was originally leaning baked ziti w/ sausage but now I'm thinking that might be too heavy...

Considering my wife is going out to be active in the One Billion Rising Campaign and I'll be spending my night in my studio, I would guess I'll grill some chicken for myself with some broccoli and roasted brussel sprouts

2013-02-14 11:49:27 AM
Single this year, so I'll probably just order a pizza and have a beer.  Last year, I went with steak, asparagus, and macaroni+cheese.  Just processed American cheese, but mixed with pulled rotisserie chicken, broccoli florets, and a bit of soy sauce for kick.  Turns cheap college crap into something pretty quality.

Threesome.  Nice.

melaniethepanda: We're making corndogs tonight because they're my favorite. Might not seem romantic to anyone else, but that's what I love. Plus, it's sort of like foreplay when he watches me deep throat that dog and homemade batter.

Do you have pictures of this activity called " deep throating" ? It's new to me
