As long as they are making money they are doing it right.

WTF Indeed: As long as they are making money they are doing it right.

And, praise Jeebus, the only way they can make money now is by damaging their political aspirations. It works out nicely for all.

There's no such thing as anti-establishment. Only pro-my-own-specific-establishment.

It is middle class to them because anyone who makes less isn't human.

Heh... Pay no attention to the PR firms behind the curtain, Teabaggers.

Having worked in Advertising for 7 years now, I can tell you, it's no great skill getting the willfully gullible and ignorant to hand over their money and become "brand ambassadors".

Yeah I'm thinking this is a WWE heel/face situation with them and Rove.

It's Karl's turn to play the heel.

Conservatives rely on hate,
Hate is what they need.
When the rest of the world rejects their hate,
On conservatives they'll feed.

/It's the cirrrrrcle of hate!

Yes, I'm questioning of the antidisestablishmentarianism being conveyed these days.

Steve Forbes for President, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Pat Toomey for Senate (the close-but-no-cigar 2004 version), Rick Scott for Governor - CRC worked for them all.

Fark the CRC *and* the SB.

There is a line between Public Relations and Propaganda and they've crossed it so often they've blurred it out.

Philip Francis Queeg: For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind

That quote kind of worked in the Kansas thread, but it really does fit well here.

FTA: Brent Bozell took aim at the group in a statement fuming that "the days of conservatives listening to the moderate GOP establishment are over" (Subject line: "Bozell: Moderates With Their Disastrous Record Must Be Rejected by GOP.")

The problem the GOP moderates have is that they get painted with the same brush as the Teabagger GOP.
The Teabagger is probably in a gerrymandered district that doesn't see a problem with the Teabagger message but the moderate republican doesn't have that safety.   The other problem is the Teabaggers have a megaphone that outstripes the merrits of the message shouted through it.  So if someone like Chris Cristy wants to make a push for a national office, he gets shouted down be Teabaggers in his own party.  But once he gets past the Teabaggers he is fighting against, folks outside of the GOP still label his policies as being little different than Palin's.

You can't court the crazy train and then want it to go away as soon as it goes off the rails.  The only thing Karl Rove supports is the almighty dollar.  But the party won't see this and by constantly failing yet jumping from side to side in the infighting rove will soon be flying high again. It makes me so tired to see this time after time and hear that people continue to throw money at him.  Even after his bark at the moon level break down on election night there are still people who think he walks on water.  I don't know about how these sort of now you see it now you don't sort of tricks worked in the past, but in my life it seems once a party decides you are a miracle man, you are in for life.

It actually occurred to me while reading that headline that I might actually qualify as an antidisestablishmentarianist in the context of republican obstructionism.  And I thought that was kind of a rad thing to be.

Also:

The rhetorical conflagration that followed neatly illustrates how quickly any given dispute can turn into a full-blown political firestorm.

Rage.  Rage at the lazy thesaurus work.  Rage at the lack of verb agreement.  And rage at the word-padding.  Somebody had a minimum word-count to reach and body o' me they're gonna farking reach it!
