Bill Clinton has confirmed that the former Secretary of State...

Well if you can't believe what Bill Clinton says, what can you believe?

2013-02-14 11:01:54 AM
I wish she wouldn't

2013-02-14 11:07:49 AM
Sacramento developer Angelo Tsakopoulos was reported to have said Bill Clinton has confirmed that the former Secretary of State will make a bid for the White House again.

Well that sounds legit.

2013-02-14 11:08:29 AM
She won't run if Biden decides to run, but I don't think he will. Otherwise, there is literally no one in the democratic party powerful enough to stop her right now. Of course, the same could have been said in 2005

Good. Obama compromises too much. Clinton will take their lunch money.

Couldn't Biden just be VP again? That seems like a sweet gig.

This sounds like Angelo Tsakopoulos is feeling left out & needs a little schmoopy attention party.

We will know when we know. Until such time she comes out and says one way or another, it is just a play for the media.

Has that ever happened?  A VP serving under multiple Presidents?

I'm hoping the Republicans run Scott Walker.

Running Rubio would threaten our water supply.

I guess the president will be a Republican in 2017 then. I just hope he's a white male who hates gays and abortions, loves God and guns, big spender that claims to be a fiscal hawk, invades Iran for Israel, tosses out all the Mexicans, and hands out lots of subsidies (welfare) and tax cuts to the job creators. God bless America.

Well, I like the fact that she's white, but I also believe that she has a vagina, which is troubling.

I guess he could, but older candidates tend to choose younger VPs, to boost the 'vitality' of their campaign, and younger candidates tend to choose older ones, to look more experienced.

I don't think Hillary will run, in fact I am fairly certain she will not. However, I'd like to see her run just for the entertainment value of the spasm of blind, unreasoning rage she brings out of Republicans. They have hated her beyond all reason for over 20 years now.

Do you have any idea how entertaining a Biden presidency would be?

Depends what your definition of "run" is.

I think enduring the stupidity of the Republican Party for 8 years with Bush will be worth it if we get 8 years of Obama and 8 years of Hillary.

Republicans have lost a generation of voters. Thanks Bush!

I think she'll take a shot simply to run interference for whoever is actually going to get the nod.  Worked in 2008.

If she runs, say hello to democrats controlling the White House until at least January of 2025. Republicans tremble at the thought of Hillary running because they know they have no one powerful enough to stop her. She has respect from a hell of a lot more republicans and independents than Obama has.

Interesting, thanks.

Calhoun seems to have a good/interesting career.  Continued public service after leaving the VP office, including coming back as the Sec. of State years later.

I'd be more inclined to vote for her this time.  Her entitled behavior in 2008 was atrocious and she needed to be knocked down a peg or two and really earn the nomination for what she's done and not just for who she's married to.  And I think she's in that place now.

That said, I'd rather not vote for another Boomer.

And the derp they will have to sling will further alienate them from the general voting populace and reality.

I'm already seeing the rehash of "Hillary = Marx" emails from 2008 from friends on Facebook. She should now be as relevant as Rice or Kissenger, but, as much as they won't admit it, they are honestly scared because they know she'll win if she probably run.

Interestingly, being VP is pretty much a dead end to becoming president. Most VPs only become president because the president dies or leaves office. VP succession used to be pretty common in the early days, but it's only happened once - George HW Bush - since 1837. (I'm not counting Nixon because there was a gap between VP and Pres).

I suspect Biden will run no matter who the opposition is in the primary and how long his odds look. He desperately wants to be president and it's his last shot.

Well it looks like I'll be voting crackpot 3rd party then. I can't abide dynasties. Not to mention she is a cynical slimeball politician to the core. Carpet bagging, co sponsoring flag burning bills, supporting the war in Iraq, her nasty '08 primary campaign, etc.

Honestly I thought ol' Joe would be "Spending more with family" ® by now and they would have slid the hill-dog into vp by now.

I'd campaign for her.  I've enjoyed having an intelligent president in the White House, I think we should do it again.
