Nobody who has to get by sustenance farming is going to be able to afford that green paint. That shiat's expensive.

Yep, it is the fact that food prices are acutally high enough that the farmers and ranchers can afford to update their equipment.  About the only JD item that a sustenance farmer will own will be a hat or tee shirt.
