Still pissed at Nate Silver, I guess? ;-)

Well of course

/because Kansas is such an enlightened medieval sh*thole

Not in to the prayer thing, but all the crime ridden areas in the country ARE predominately democrat.

He said he was asking for prayer in order to boost the economic prosperity of the regions.

I'm glad they're dedicated to doing nothing. It sure beats doing something that could actually have an effect.

Ah yes.  Prayer.  The thing people do to make themselves feel better about not actually doing anything.

2013-02-14 12:22:43 AM
Pray on one hand, shiat in the other. See which actually has an actuall effect on the world.

They were asked.

I asked the VA legislature to grant me a three way with Taylor Swift and Mila Kunis, and that didn't happen, either.

Kome: I'm glad they're dedicated to doing nothing. It sure beats doing something that could actually have an effect.

This is a step up from the stuff they usually do, though.

Oh, the monsters!  Being against child poverty and obesity and praying for the health of legislators!!

Maybe you can learn from 0bama.

I've often wonder when people say things like "I'll keep you in my prayers". Whether that actually do. Or do they forget almost immediately after mouthing the empty platitude.

2013-02-14 06:20:26 AM
I pray every day that our Lord and Saviors Almighty Zeus and Hera save Christians from their heathen worship of a false Jewish volcano god.

Only the one true Gods up on Mount Olympus can save their immortal souls.

Dark spiritual areas?

I don't know why Republicans think there's anything moral about them.

2013-02-14 06:27:17 AM
Kansas should just give the rest of Kansas City to Missouri and continue it's headlong rush in to Derpiestville, USA.

Oh, Kansas... Maybe someday you'll make it to the 19th century.

Wow, places that have lots of people concentrated in one area have more crime than places where no one lives? I am shocked. And toothless inbred rednecks that live out in the sticks never commit crimes. No sirree.

Being in the "dark spiritual area", I find myself banging my head against the wall trying to figure out republicans in this state...

The Capitol Commission is a national group seeking to place pastors in each state Capitol. The group is currently in 21 states, primarily in the South and Midwest.

Good luck with that.

So why did they specifically include a prayer for my hometown which, by the way, has about 1 Christian church for every thousand residents?

Praying for an end to a disaster never works, that includes people who vote for Democrats.

It can be either an empty platitude or a way of saying Fark You.

example 1.

"I have cancer."

"I'll keep you in my prayers."

Or example 2.

"I'm gay."

"I'll keep you in my prayers."

Either way the person saying it is a dick.

DePue did not return a call from The Huffington Post, but told the Wichita Eagle on Tuesday evening that he was not trying to single out Democrats and their spirituality. He said he was asking for prayer in order to boost the economic prosperity of the regions.

"It's just unfortunate wording on my part," DePue told the Wichita Eagle.

Oh you farking lying sack of shiat. Isn't there a Commandment against that sort of thing?

Moses didn't really mean that commandment to be ironclad. He was okay with lying to save your ass from getting tarred and feathered.

I thought anti-childhood obesity campaigns were liberal nanny-state fascism straight from Michelle. Government trying to regulate what you eat by giving you suggestions.

The real problem is that they insist on waving their shiat-covered hand in our faces while insisting it's actually delicious Belgian chocolate and scream at us when we dare complain about the aroma.

Weak sauce. Lawrence votes more D than Kansas City and you're willing to take them away from the rest of the state, so why not us?

God, even their prayers include tax cuts. How vapid their lives must be.

They'd have to nuke Lawrence to do that, and there are too many Jayhawk fans to take that extreme of a measure.

The push back will unfortunately be from an even more radical segment of the population who think that Kansas is too liberal.

While we're on the topic of Kansas, when the hell is Fark going to give my state its own tag? We're at least as moronic and backwards as Florida is.
