So at least it's not the GOP accusing ACORN of vote nigging.

/that was wrong and I feel bad

Yeah the scary thing about Iran is that Ahmadinejad is the "liberal" there.

They Photoshopped thousands of ballots.

It doesn't matter who replaces Ahmanijad as Boogeyman President.

He can see Israel rearing its yarmulke from his back porch.

The ironic thing about irony is that nothing is ironic.

Of course he is.  The Republicans here call him a liberal.  Everything that is bad and they don't like is liberal.

article's title included the phrase "going rogue" and subby didn't bother making a 'and now sarah palin is automatically president' joke? hmm, i like where this is heading

Revolutionary Guard response: "Of course we did.  How do you think you got elected?"

vernonFL: Yeah the scary thing about Iran is that Ahmadinejad is the "liberal" there.

No he isn't.  Both of the candidates who ran against him in 2009 were considered more "liberal" than Ahmadinejad.

What's ironic about it?

Not so much irony as absurd quantities of hypocrisy, but I guess we don't have a [hypocrite] tag so close enough.

vernonFL: Yeah the scary thing about Iran is that Ahmadinejad is the "liberal" there.

Not even close, man.  The majority of the population is under 30, whereas Ahmadinejad is part of the "old, fundamentalist religious man" faction that took over when the Shah went out and the Ayatollahs were in.

In US terms the council of Imams and the president of Iran are basically the Tea Party, the revolutionary guard are the GOP, and the other 80% of the population are the youthful idealist Leftists that got excited about Obama in 2007.

Dinnerjack is just the Persian version of a Baathist.  Secular, nationalist, authoritarian.  If he got to the run place it would be a military dictatorship.  He's been having issues with the religious elements of their society since day one.  Definitely not a liberal, just a different kind of dictator.

His accusations are probably as real as their stealth plane.

He's far from secular which was a source of tension between him and the Clerics who actually run the country.

Even Rafsanjani, who was president in the 90's and ran again in 2009, is considered much more "pragmatic" than Ahmadinejad -- in this case I think it just means he isn't pants-on-head retarded, because Rafsanjani was a capital-R Revolutionary from day one.

did he win the lottery and die the next day?

There is only one definition: it means to reduce by 1/10

Agreed. If you want to mean more, then use the word annihilate.

What is ironic is that he, himself, engages in vote rigging.  Or so the story goes.
