I know it's not the 1800s, but just look at all these people surely violating the Volstead Act.

Nothing in the Volstead Act prohibited drinking.  You just couldn't make or sell it.

If you can't get enough of this stuff, I present Least Wanted. I also have the book - pretty fascinating and more than a little sad.

CPT Ethanolic: Those are some stiff sentences being handed out back then.

Today's poor still receive similar sentences, probably even for grain arson.

The Picard who fought at Trafalgar, the Picard who won the Nobel Prize, The Picards that settled the Martian colonies, The Picard who went to prison.

Looks like Andrew Johnson

I was thinking he looks a little more David Duchovny

Duchovny I can see, but I don't see the resemblance to Andrew Johnson.

I don't see Duchovny *at all* but I do see a be-haired Patrick Stewart.

Well It may not be that strong of a resemblance, but there is a pic of Andrew Johnson with like the same scowl on his face looking at the same angle to the camera with the same haircut, maybe its the pose plus haircut more than the face.
