I tried that but couldn't finish it as I can't bother to give a shiat about lawyers or shock jocks.

At best a hot paralegal got me as far as I was going to go.

If only Bubba had surveilance of the situation to show what actually happened...wait wrong lawsuit.

Truth be told there was no reason that they would have needed to set up Schnitt's lawyer.  Frivolous lawsuit was frivolous.

/I met the lawyer of Bubba's in Calgary last summer (Diaco).  Nice guy, you'd be hard pressed to tell he was a lawyer.

It's a pale shadow of its former self. Plus he just phones it in on Radioio....when he stays to do the extra hour show.

And not just generic shock jocks at that but Bubba TLS is the good guy ... er ... the best of the worst in the story.  One of his earliest radio gigs was at a local station.  He was a bit...extreme for the area & soon made his way south to FL.

Capital punishment for everyone involved in the story defendants & prosecutors alike, it's the only way to be sure.

I kind of agree, I think that the Shannon Burke Show in the afternoons is better myself now.

This.  Bubba's show was better than Stern.  Killed H101 when they took it off.

There are still decent shows on 101... Geektime, Jon Hein's TV Show, Jackie's Joke Hunt, Riley Martin... but the 1 or 2 hour niche shows can't anchor a whole channel. There needs to be something different on from 3 to 7 as a counterpoint to Howard... something like Bubba.

Paralegal had a suspended license, those mugshots are from DUI convictions.  Oh, and the lawyer that got arrested?  He was driving her car.

No, this isn't suspicious at all.

I'd like to see them both die for all I care.  They're both facilitators and contributors to the Florida tag.

LSUMJ: was I alone in finding that article hard to read?  I  cant even explain why, just seemed oddly done

It's a local story that's been in the headlines for weeks in the Tampa Bay area so it's assumed everyone reading the article already knows the details.  It also doesn't help that Sue Carlton is a D-list political hack who passes for an opinion writer at a major Florida paper.  She is to Maureen Dowd what a middle-school basketball player is to Lebron James.

Egged on or or not, someone with enough brains to make it through law school should be smart enough to not drive after drinking.

We had another "pretty young thing sets up the target for a DUI" story on Fark a while ago. Was it a different case? I think that was from the Chicago area, not Florida.

Two radio types talking smack, and a lawsuit and legal shenanigans result?  Wasn't this on L&O many years ago?

2013-02-13 09:32:46 AM
A paralegal working for Bubba's legal team got the plaintiffs lawyer drunk at a bar, got him to drive, and other members of their legal firm got him caught, and when the cops took him away, the legal firm got to take the plaintiff's briefcase home.

That's all you gotta know. As stupid as lawyer DUI is, as slimy as sending a hot paralegal to entrap an opposing lawyer is, walking off with private documents is simply wrong. This of course has nothing to do with the merits of a particular Love Sponge's defamation suit, but his legal team has simply done something criminal. But everyone from article writer on down to subby think Bubba the Love Sponge's character is the most important issue. That'll confuse ya.

Found it. Woman in California hired a man who hired a blonde to seduce her husband into driving drunk so she could get a better divorce settlement. Story, Fark thread. Maybe it's a standard technique.

And the arresting officer is God-parent to the a kid of the lawyer who called him.  IMHO, originally it was all Morning Zoo type crap.MJ should have had thicker skin, and not brought suit - I remember his wife was on the radio (via phone call) at least twice a week when he went on air in Tampa.    The lawyers, well that is why Florida has it's own tag.  Disbar the lot of em.

At least there are farkers among us who can decipher that mess.

What's a floridly written Daily Mail article doing in the Tampa Bay Times?
