Someone I know went on date and decided to go to the pictures on the spur of the moment. They chose Prometheus without knowing what it was about.

List fails without Happiness or Gummo.

I've seen it three times: It's about color grading.

My Sister's Keeper. Good lord, there should have been a warning.

I saw Carrie when it first came out.  A couple days later my date wanted to see it, so off we go.  Remember at the end, when all is sad and melancholy at the grave, then the hand comes out of the ground?  I reached around behind her and grabbed her shoulder when that hand came out.

She never went out with me again :(

/ still can't hear out of that ear

I was sure "The Accused" would have made the list.

4. "Rosemary's Baby"

Wife and I watched this on a date when long before we got married. Nothing wrong with it at all. Good for Halloween-time horror/thriller movie dates.

8. "Swimfan"

No one should watch this movie for any reason, date or otherwise.

15. "Play Misty for Me"

False. Jessica Walter.

8. "Swimfan"
Sure.  That's the moment your date realizes you're a half-wit with terrible taste in movies.

No Serbian Film?

Not a single Adam Sandler film on the whole list? I call shenanigans.

Attack of the Clones?

I was set up for a blind date. The movie was "Caligula."

How about a lighthearted rom com about the dating adventures of a birthday clown?  If that sounds fun, I totally recommend Vulgar.

Requiem for a Dream

The Dark Knight.

No I'm not trolling. It was such an engrossing movie that my date didn't want to leave to go to the bathroom and miss anything. He was literally twitching in his seat for most of the movie and when he finally decided to go (during the scene where the Joker is talking to Dent in the hospital) he tripped in the dark and fell over in the aisle. I found out after the movie that he actually wet his pants a bit during the fall. He tried to hide the stain but the smell was still there.

There was no second date.

Clearly none of you have ever had hate sex after "Riding The Bus With My Sister"

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is a great date movie.  I use it as a gauge to tell if I'm going to get along with someone.

War of the Roses is not on the list?

Movies are terrible for dates anyway. They dominate the attention you should be giving to each other.

No wonder you're all single.

I once took a chick to see Nell on a first date, I thought the movie title was Neil, and it went downhill from there.

/always find out if your date is a vegan before ordering the delicious mouth watering baby back ribs

Pulp Fiction.  Only movie I've watched with a date that I couldn't make out during.  So we turned it off and necked for the next hour.

I saw Traffic with a girl I didn't like very much.  I think it was about 9 years long.

Saw "Se7en" on a first date the weekend it came out. She insisted on seeing it because she liked Brad Pitt but I kept telling her I didn't have a good feeling about this.

I don't normally do chick flicks, but I decided I'd see one with my wife, and then maybe we'd get the sexy time later. I let her pick the movie, but she decided that she'd be nice to my tastes in movies and went for a straight-up comedy instead without realizing my romantic intentions. She picked Knocked Up. It was not conducive to sexy time.

The aptly named Nightmare Before Christmas was a disaster.

The Piano was a bit touch and go, but we're still together twenty years later.

Casablanca on the big screen; best date movie ever.

'Night Mother

I went to see "Stigmata" on a date. Genius, yes? The boy was apparently a hardcore Catholic, and did not seem to notice that I, at the time, was a practicing Protestant.
There was no second date. It was incredibly awkward, because we had been online friends for about 2 years at that point.
