He's still a free agent. He can't consider going on tour until he signs a new contract.

This.  I think Brian would have been happy to continue if Mike Love didn't pull that "firing" crap.  He's going to be in for a shock when he returns to playing half-empty venues at county fairs.

That's the Beatles.

The Beach boys did "Wake Up, Little Suzie".

No, that was the Mouseketeers because I clearly recall they had a member named Suzie.

The Beach Boys did "Turn Turn Turn" which was later remastered in the 1990s as the Friends theme song.

No, that was the Turtles, who also did that song "Daydream Retriever" about that guy's dog that swam into the ocean and drowned fetching a Frisbee.

I think you're confusing the movie "Where the Red Fern Grows" which had that scene where John Wayne tried crossing a river on his horse and got bit by a horde of rattlesnakes and drowned.

That would be "Shannon down the House" by the Talking Heads.

If he hasn't signed with the Beach Boys, then why did he make a tv appearance in their uniform?

I'm sure it was difficult to hang onto your ego while typing that.

Between Love and Wilson's dad, is it a wonder Brian spent so much time in the fetal position? It's unfortunate that the kind of person that can write 'Wouldn't It Be Nice?' is not the same type of person likely to deliver the ass whooping needed by the jerks encountered along life's journey.

No, you're thinking of the Cheers theme song - "Monday, Monday," by the Jackson Five.

An easy mistake to make since they both feature vocals by Gretchen Wilson, daughter of Brian Wilson.

She also sings on most  Creedence Clearwater Revival songs.

I like the link at the bottom of the article - Beach Boys to continue touring with Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, David Marks. In other words Mike Love to continue touring without the Beach Boys.
