nekom: As for the new developments, this shiat just keeps getting weirder and weirder. I find it very hard to believe he had an accomplice. I mean, there are limits to what even the absolute best of friends will do for you. If a best friend calls me at 3am and needs a ride home, I'm there for them. If a best friend just killed some people, uh sorry guy, you're on your own.

Depends.  He might have friends who have their own personal beefs with the LAPD.

However, I'm guessing it is much more likely that he's a lone operation at this point.  If you don't let anyone into your plans, there's nobody to betray you to the cops.

How many objects has this guy shot at vs. how many has LAPD?
How many people has this guy shot at vs. how many has LAPD?
How many people has this guy killed vs. how many has LAPD?

Who is the real menace to the public at this point in time?

Obviously, murder is bad, but the police force shooting willy-nilly at anything remotely connected with this guy is more dangerous.

This question was asked in other threads and people accused anyone asking this of defending the murderer. I don't suspect that's your intent, and it certainly isn't mine, but just to be clear, these are two separate issues. This dangerous murderer needs to be captured or killed at once. On a somewhat related matter, the LAPD certainly has some explaining to do.

Soldiers have a higher loyalty to each other, especially if the other person has shown themselves to be an overall honorable person, which this guy has up to the alleged shootings.

I'm guessing he is very far from CA and is letting LAPD exhaust themselves while he lays low and plans the next phase.  In fact, with the SCUBA revalation, maybe he booked it all the way to South Florida and is living on a campground somewhere, going spearfishing for food, or working as a bouncer for cash at some Miami club, or cleaning houses in Key West.  I mean, I have cousins that will make a straight 25 hour drive from Iowa to the NC coast in the summer (2 people driving in shifts), he has had more than enough time to be literally ANYWHERE in the US at this point.  I've driven 10.5 hours in a day by myself from Chicago to SW Virginia, and I wasn't even very motivated.  Hell, if he had a pickup truck loaded with gear, including some extra fuel canisters, he wouldn't have even had to stop for gas until he was east of the Mississippi.  Drive at night, obey all traffic laws, avoid anywhere that would typically have a camera (atm/convenience store), and how will they track him?

Combined with all the misdeirection he obviously left behind, I don't see how they could possibly find this guy until he surfaces again to murder another random cop, or the family members of one of his more specific grudges.  I certainly wouldn't want to be that Chupacabra lady right now, I can tell you that.

This guy didn't run to Mexico.  No way.  He's still got business to attend to in his mind and it can't be accomplished there.  Asymmetrical warfare is a motherfarker.  If he just pops his head up and fires off a shot once every several months, he'll grind the LAPD's budget down to the bare metal.  Sound familiar, guys?

TMZ reported earlier that he had scuba tanks filled 2 days before all of this. This guy is a master at unconventional warfare. All he had to do was buy the equipment, not even use it, and now they have to search and secure against a whole other threat. One guy, one disruptive element, and he has the entire 10,000 strong LAPD just having fits, not to mention all the other law enforcement involved. The idea that just one guy can cause this much disruption is pretty incredible.

Official stories about what happened are already starting to conflict with initial statements.  This whole thing is fishy.

Unverified sources have also claimed that he's ransacked Pakistan and run a scam in Scandinavia, and plans to stick 'em up Down Under and go pick-pocket Perth.

SImple solution, since it's impossible to determine where a 300 pound massive black guy might possibly be hiding....OPEN FIRE ON EVERYONE!!!

LAPD got their asses handed to them.
Nothing worse than a corrupt cop.   Well, maybe an entire corrupt police force.  Or entire corrupt government.

Crap, us little guys are screwed.
