Years ago I was at The Blue Boar Pub in Hollywood and Bill Murray came in....it was like royality entering and he was very gracious and entertaining, telling us funny anecdotes about the business. He spoke with the experience that comes with age and wisdom, he spoke like a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it.

Cinderella story.

A guy at work has a Bill Murray story. I won't bore you with the details but it involves a broken blender and some chronic, at an apartment downtown. Bottom line is he's a head and a cool guy.

I'm sure he is tired of hearing Caddyshack quotes, but it would kill me if he started using one of the ball washers, looked at one of the female reporters/golfers and started saying shiat like "you're lean, mean and not too far between".

I'm probably just shy of being classified as a regular at The Blue Boar.  Never seen Bill Murray in there unfortunately.

So now I am increadibly happy that Murry turned down the offer for Ghostbusters 3.  It would have been a small smudge on his greatness.

I saw Bill Murray play in this tournament waaayyyy back in '83.  He was wearing this hat.


And kicking arse.  All the other "serious" golfers biatched nonstop about how undignified he was.  But Bill was kickin' it.  Hard.

There's 'Not giving a fark' in a good way and there's 'Not giving a fark' in a bad way as in 'what's the use?' It seem like he is headed more towards the latter than the former.

It wasn' that bad until Fear and Loathing totally eclipsed it. But I agree with you. I watched it recently after not having seen it for about 12 years and it was rather boring. Peter Boyle did a pretty good job.
