Yes, because wild animals running free in your place of business are always more important than paying customers.

I thought babies were already banned from bars.  All the bars I've been in had a sign saying no one under 21 allowed.

Well does it specify 21 years or 21 months? it makes a big difference ya know.....

Why the everliving FARK was a baby allowed to crawl around in a PUB? Hello? The kid could've been tripped upon by some drunk moron and been as easily injured.

Blaming the fox instead of the dumb-ass parent. Douchebags.

2013-02-11 10:39:08 PM
If that were my kid, or even someone else's and I was in the vicinity, Mr fox would be quite dead.

Pub fox is not the one that mauled the baby

Different fox, people.

kvinesknows: sooo.. WHY THE FARK did that mother allow a fox in her house with a baby crawling on the floor?

The fox that mauled the baby was a wild fox; it was not the same, tame fox that is owned by the bar owners. There's completely no correlation between the baby-eating fox, the baby, the bar, or the tame fox, except for the fact that some douchebag pub customer complained after reading about the baby-eating fox in the newspaper.

Never quite understood why people choose to keep wild animals in their homes as pets.  Then when a wild animal goes off its a big surprise.

2013-02-11 10:50:29 PM
Lucius never really liked that pub anyhow.

If London gets rid of foxes, they'd be overrun with rats within a week.

<Ronald Marsh>Oh, what? I can't go get drunk at the bar whenever I please just because I have a baby? Is that what you're telling me? Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was America England!</Ronald Marsh>

But seriously... pub fox != attack fox. RTFA.

This wouldn't happen if everyone had a fox and knew how to use it.

I knew people that kept a tame raccoon in their house. Needless to say, their house stank like a fart sandwich.

Never quite understood why people choose to take their babies into the pub. Then they go home with some skeezy pedophile and it's a big surprise.

/we are talking about things other than the article right?

They are wild animals, with all their instincts.

I don't care how friendly that damn baby is or who bit him, he shouldn't be drinking at this ir any other pub.

Saw this one in a NJ State Park. Beautiful critter. Not at all aggressive. Acted like a feral cat. Little bastard kept sneaking up on me trying to steal bait from my bucket. Would run like hell when approached.

Do you know how I know 2/3rds of you didn't read the article?

 - Tame fox in bar. Super darn cute.

 - Some other wild fox elsewhere in the town bites a baby. The baby was not in a bar. Presumably.

 - So someone says "foxes = bad" and complained about the tame, super-cute fox in the bar. So he's not allowed in the bar anymore (the fox, sadly, not the patron).

It's a common tragic tale, I believe Shakespeare wrote no less than 3 sonnets about almost identical stories.

Now that I think about it (and since you asked) I think the signs actually read "No one under 21 years of age allowed in this establishment".  Of course I was drinking so my memory could be suspect.

No, a Kat

If a wild animal gets into your house, and it is not the size where it could get in anywhere, (like a freaking bear),  then the parent is solely to blame. Not the animal.
