Now would be a great time for you to make good on that "dead or in jail" promise, Mr. Nugent.

[Rep Steve} Stockman, in a statement announcing the invitation, said he was "excited to have a patriot" like Nugent join him in the House chamber, and that afterward he's sure "Ted will have plenty to say." ... He announced Friday that he would live-tweet the president's speech using the hashtag "#youlie," borrowing the infamous "You lie!" outburst of South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson during Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress on healthcare in September 2009.

"Look at us! We're attention whores!"

There is a very high chance he's going to try to disrupt it.

Any chance we can get President Obama to use his time machine to go back to the 1970's and kill Nugent back when he was just a musician, and nobody knew how batshiat insane he is to become?

You know what I'd like to see?

The Nuge tries something, gets past the Secret Service somehow, and Obama backhands him to the floor, knocking him out cold. After which, Obama gets back to the podium, says "As I was saying", and resumes the speech.

Charlie Pierce notes that  Stockman's reason for inviting this Nugent creature was to balance the invitations of some of the families of the Newtown massacre victims.

If true, that is pretty disgusting.

Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), who was shot at a constituents event in January 2011 and is now leading a public campaign in support of stricter gun laws, will also attend.

So Nugent won't be the only person there with half a brain.

OMG TED NUGENT WILL SHOOT FARTBONGO HURRDURR!

So he gets to sit in the room and hear the speech, maybe get on TV once or twice. Big deal. I'll hear the speech exactly 7 seconds after he will.

It's more bizarre that he sees Nugent as the rebuttal.

You pull the parent of a murder victim?  Well, then I'll bring the Motor City Madman.  You give up 0bummer?  Because if you invite someone from Aurora, I got John Voight on Motherfarkin speed dial.

This will be an excellent chance for him to do so, that's for sure.

Because when I think of a reasonable spokeman, someone who connects with the average American, and doesn't have any baggage that could weigh down the Republican party, I think of Nugent.

No, seriously, I'd like them to ask this attention-whoring tea bagging asshat Stockman what he thinks of Nugent shiatting himself to avoid service, and how he can call someone like that a patriot?  I'm sure the liberal media will be all over that.

will trollbama make an offhanded reference to him? maybe something about how seeing the stuffy senate and the crooked house together makes the room feel like he's at at the morgue of a jail?

or maybe he could just sh*t his pants during the opening remarks?

He'll show up with a gun and be denied entry.

For purposes of clarity in this thread "Ted Nugent", is understood to be shorthand for "all Republicans".

I think it's a great idea. Associating with Ted Nugent makes it quite clear what the GOP stands for. If you can't beat a party with the Nuge as it's public face, well, it was time to go to Canada anyway.

2013-02-11 05:40:18 PM
"I think that Barack Hussein Obama should be put in jail. It is clear that Barack Hussein Obama is a communist. Mao Tse Tung lives and his name is Barack Hussein Obama. This country should be ashamed. I wanna throw up," he said, adding "Obama, he's a piece of s**t. I told him to suck on my machine gun."

Ted Nugent, American Patriot according to the GOP.

I realize the GOP only has a D list of celebrities to draw on for things like this but inviting Ted Nugent just makes them look like classless lunatics.

So the guy who basically threatened the president gets invited to the state of the union?  Yeah that's not retarded.
