I love your movies pixar, I really do. But please start going back to new stories. I know everyone loves what you have already done (except Cars) but just move on and keep the creative ideas flowing. I'll still be optimistic about this movie but I was not really interested in seeing another Monsters Inc movie. I'm also not thrilled about a Finding Nemo 2.

Don't know about Disneyland, but Disney World was perfect for our son about three months before his third birthday. They get in free under 3, and there are enough attractions that they can go no to make it worthwhile.

Ah what? PIXAR kicks out a sequel and you suddenly forget about Brave, UP!, WALL*E, Ratatouille, etc. And The Good Monster is due next year. And many people considered Toy Story 3 the best PIXAR movie released (I don't).

/and a shiat load of people loved Cars - with tie-ins, dvd sales, etc - it has made more coin for Pixar than any other movie

I've still yet to not enjoy a Pixar movie. Sure, Cars wasn't awesome, but it was watchable. Cars 2 was pandering, but the in jokes for car guys were hilarious.

Pixar movies are some of the very, VERY few I actually try to catch in the theater.

I prefer Disneyland because it's all in one place, distilled down to the essentials. Disney World takes days to do properly.

Who said anything about him remembering it? I'm just looking for an excuse to go.

I'm sure he'll love it, though. Last year we took him out to see the dinosaurs in Cabazon when we were out visiting. My mom made him a book with the pictures and he pulls it out every few weeks to look at it.

Hmm...hoping they saved their best stuff for the movie, because I didn't really see much in the trailer that screamed "SEE ME!" Of course, I have kids, so I guess it doesn't matter.

I remember thinking it was complete crap that the studio heads were worried about the merchandising opportunities for "Up".

Now that I have kids, I understand it. It's mind boggling the amount of "Cars" branded items that are out there and they myst be making a mint. I'll take my son shopping and he'll start screaming "Mater! McQueen!" It'll take me a couple seconds of scanning the aisle to realize he spotted a can of Cambell's soup with them on the label. He immediately spots these items as we cruise down the aisle.

First time I saw the original was in a doctor's waiting room. (They put up movies to keep the kids distracted.) A family member was going through one of those medical scares that turns out to not be so scary but initially can freak you out. Long story short, the movie had me welling up by the end. I wonder if it would have the same effect if I watched it again without having to worry about whether someone close to me was dying.

I really think if Cars 2 would have been Cars 1 (well, there would have taken some explanation for why a race car is friends with a POS tow truck), it would have been better received.

There's a bunch of folks who have been waiting and salivating at the thought of Pixar turning out a turd, and with Cars 2 being a sequel to their weakest film, it doesn't matter what the movie was actually like. The people waiting for something to complain about were going to turn out in droves talking about how the movie was crap. Never mind that the story was more original than the first movie and the jokes were better, they needed something to hate.

They do, but this is about Pixar and their upcoming release. Pixar has only done CGI since it started with Toy Story back in the 90's (and don't do 'normal' cartoons). Did you miss Arrietty or Summer Wars? You should check them out.

Nothing this movie does could possibly match the emotinal tone of the last minute and a half of Monsters Inc.

I have seen enough college faternity movies, one more really isn't needed.

The *ONE* and *ONLY* non-Toy-Story Pixar movie that could possibly work as a sequel is The Incredibles.

Instead we get Old School minus the shiat that makes OS funny and don't even get me started on Cars 2. Aint buying that movie. Cars 1 will suffice for the 6 year old.

Walt Disney himself said that he stood firmly on no sequels. I wish Lasseter had the same stance. I admit Toy Story 2 was almost as good as part 1 but that seems to be a rare exception.

Monsters University? Yawn. I guess more of a prequel. Might rent the blue-ray for TD/Animation studies.

I was really expecting not to like Ratatouille. I put off watching it, thinking it would be the first Pixar movie I just didn't enjoy.

While I don't like it as much as some of their other movies, I did find it enjoyable and touching. So yeah, where I'm concerned Pixar has yet to make a true stinker. Sure, some are better than others, but their record is rather stronger than everybody else.

A long time ago in the late 80's I went to Disney World when I was 5. I have probably a good half dozen or so memories that I can recall from that trip. If I was 3...I have maybe like one memory when I was 3.

I can't say I can recall too many ~3 year old attractions worthwhile. I was limited enough when I was 5.

The new Car's ride is easily the best ride in either Disney Land or California Adventure....
I can't speak for DisneyWorld or Epcot, as i haven't been there in 20 years.

I'm not a "Cry at movies" kind of guy but the ending "Kitty" line has me fighting them back every damn time. May have something to do with me being a single dad, I don't know

I love that CGI movies are now called "Old School." Kind of like how the classic rock station in my city plays Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam. Has anyone released a hand-drawn animated film in the last ten years? The only one I can think of is The Frog Prince. There's something charming about hand drawn animation.

I kind of agree, they are capable of delivering completely fresh stories. But after seeing TS 3, I don't know... I kind of want a sequel to my favorite pixar movie
