I went with Hercules and Hypnos. No real connection in the narrative, but they sound cool.

Don't forget to vote.

I'm not wasting Cerebus on something as lame as one of Pluto's moons. Why not go the Neptune route and start using Shakespearean characters?

Oops. And by Neptune I, of course, mean Uranus.

Great minds, and all that.

But really, those are the only ones that make stand-alone sense. You could pick two of Acheron/Styx/Lethe, but then you're not getting all the rivers.

Alecto leaves out the other furies.

Erebus is a fine choice, but a little too obscure.

You could go with Orpheus and Eurydice, and if the moons were co-orbiting or had some special resonance it would have made total sense, but without it, it just doesn't have the same appeal.

Hercules and Hypnos don't have that strong a connection with Pluto to begin with.

And Obol? it sounds silly and it's just the fare to get into the underworld, not a strong enough thematic tie, in my opinion.

/Put waaay too much thought into it.

Except that it appears Charon is still considered a moon.  Or does Pluto need to update it's Facebook page?

Bradog: Kratos.

My brother in-law had a mythology test his freshman year of HS.  One of the parts of the study guide was matching the god's name to what they were god of.  After struggling on the first few, I said "god of War" to which he unthinkingly replied, "Kratos".  I gave him my best 'I know you are not that stupid so fix it' looks, and he looked puzzled for a second, before realizing what he had said, the responded with, "Wait, that's not right."

///Pretty sure he failed that test.

We should further demote Pluto.

Since Pluto and the smaller snowballs are all orbiting a point in space outside of Pluto we should further demote them to 'Trans-Neptunian Junk', TNJs for short. Just a cluster of leftovers in an icy orbit.

I want to see a celetial body named after my favorite person from ancient history, Mettus Fufetius. First of all there's that name... Mettius Fufeteius... Mettius Fufeteius...  then there's his tiny yet curiously satisfying role in classical history. During the reign of the Roman king Tullus Hostilius, Mettius Fufutius was king of the nearlyby city of Alba Longa and Tullus' vassal. Tullus ordered Mettius to show up for a battle along with his army, which Mettius did. He and his army stood on the sidelines and watched Tarquin and the Romans fight the battle on their own. After the Romans won, Mettius rode up to offer his congratulations and Tullus ordered him torn to pieces between two horses. The sheer ballsiness of Mettius' actions warms the cockles of my heart to this day.

What are your thoughts on Hekate?  Or is that disqualified because it's an asteroid?
