Does the snow line slowly creep southward if I stare at it long enough?  Is this some kind of psych test?  What am I *supposed* to see....

//Seriously, I see nothing wrong with the picture.

CT here.  I got this.

Well sir, I do believe what's wrong with this picture is that there's a near-complete lack of tonal variance in this "handy" legend-key thingy.

Yes, but if you put out a "daily snow coverage map", and the lag is at least 2 days, you might want to reconsider the use of the word "daily".

Just sayin'.

It's a slap in the face to the Climate Change fascists who are trying to cripple the economy worldwide because a glacier melted somewhere no one gives a shiat about?

The model is based off of remote sensing analysis, local reports and air observations.

Since the map projection complaint has been taken, let me point out that NWS says the Sierra Nevada is under 2+ meters of snow while only a little bit of it is white on this map.

I mean the American Sierra Nevada, not the Spanish one.

I don't think it specified what days. Maybe it just picks days at random.

Most surprising to me is how deeply the snow line goes into the Middle East and Asia.

Most surprising to me is how deeply the snow line goes into the Middle East and Asia.

Those are mountain ranges and high plateaus. The snow line approximately follows the Palearctic-Oriental and Palearctic-Afrotropical ecozone boundaries. In the New World the Nearctic-Neotropical border roughly divides places that freeze occasionally and places that don't. It's probably the same in Asia.  (Ecozone wikilink)
