As a child I learned almost everything I knew from public television's nature-oriented program and as a result Sir David is one of my lifelong heroes. As other commenters have suggested, he's achieved more in his life than most of us could hope to achieve in ten lifetimes, and he's probably done more for popular understanding of the natural world than any other human being since Darwin.

So anybody slagging on Attenborough for *any* reason, let alone a stupidly political one like this, can suck my fat one.

So when two male chimps hug it isn't friendly or affectionate? Was it a hate-hug? The start of a greco-roman wrestling match?

So-called homosexuality in animals isn't actual sodomy. It's simply dishonest to equate pairing behaviour in animals with the desire of a woofter to take a turgid meat missile up the back passage.

That being said, if homosexuality in humans is to be justified by behaviours that are observed in nature, then eating shiat and killing your own young are no longer taboo, for animals do those as well.

SkunkWerks: Athropomorphization.

Ever heard of it?  Here's a hint:  The term "Gay" is a human concept.

The rest of the animal kingdom refers to it as "buttseks".

Interesting fact: David Attenborough is the brother of Sir Richard Attenborough, who played John Hammond in Jurrasic Park.

I searched for this Dr Brett Mills fellow and this from 2010 came up...

"At the heart of the documentary project is the necessity for animals to be seen. Dr Mills suggests that this necessity itself raises a series of ethical concerns, but these seem to be sidelined in the moral debates surrounding wildlife documentaries. The use of sophisticated aerial technology to film animals, for example, is justified because it does not disturb them, yet the question of whether it is appropriate to film animals in this way is not raised. Underpinning such action is an assumption that animals have no right to privacy, and that the camera crew have no need to determine whether those animals consent to being filmed."

So an attention WHORE calls out the BBC most joyfully funny and  entertaining  voice over for reading the copy . Come on he in his 80's and does voice overs .  Looks to be a slow news day so far.
