How soon until Dornering becomes the new Swatting?

Cross racial identification has caused so many Dorner sightings. I just hope it doesn't lead to the slaying of innocent people thanks to that bounty.

Just be glad it isn't a Dahmer party or a Donner party.

The biggest problem for the LAPD after this whole mess is that everyone now knows the LAPD can't aim for shiat. After literally over 500 rounds fired, only four bullets hit an intended target.

Atleast no one died this time.

Awful lot of bullets in the blue truck.

Well, this is working better for Dorner than he could have hoped.  He's following the classic pattern of an insurgency.  If your force is smaller, and has fewer resources, force your opponent to spend inordinate amounts of time and money trying to suppress you.  How many cops have been called in for this?  How much overtime spent?  How many man hours, dog hours, and aviation asset hours?  What isn't getting done or funded while they try to catch this guy?  In the end, they're going to wind up spending millions of dollars trying to hunt him down.  If he can keep his head down, maybe pop up every couple of weeks to take shots at a police cruiser or two, he's achieving his goals.  This is his victory, and they don't even realize it.

33-year-old former polilceman officer and Navy lieutenant who was fired by LAPD for making false accusations of police brutality against his training officer.

Way to stand up for the corrupt cops.  Just shows the media has still yet to grow a spine and stand up to the real criminal thugs in this country.

Also, who was the one saying it could be fun to call in false Dorner sightings from a payphone?  Seems like that cunning plan just might work.

Probably on the way to Rome to be the new Pope.

Not even a dog? Cops love to shoot dogs.

I feel sorry for that actor who looks like Dorner. I bet that guy is holed up with his own personal security team.

LAPD is totally clown shoes.  Isn't there a sheriff's office or state police that could step in and take this over?  Maybe the FBI?  They've screwed up so badly that they've made a paranoid schizophrenic look relateable.

I'm really surprised no innocent people or trucks were shot at overnight.

Just learned that he called and taunted the father of the woman he shot. She had nothing to do with his problems, so that is just pure evil. A lot of LA cops may indeed be rotten, but if this is your hero you are one sick puppy.

I bet a few residents evacuated (their bowels) when the LAPD rolled up guns drawn.

Or add to that someone deciding they can take a shot at the cops and blame Dorner.

At first glance I read that as "ejaculate."  Maybe that's how the LAPD will win back the public's trust.

"Are you Christopher Dorner?"

"Um, no, I'm an Asian guy."

"My mistake.  Pull your junk out.  I owe you a handy.  Oh, my...I see why they call you Wang.  Congratulations, sir."

Always thought that if you wanted to blend into any urban crowd, wear hospital scrubs, or dress up as a phone tech, tool belt, hoodie with "Comcast" etc printed on it, khaki pants, big leather boots, clipboard.

dressed that way, you are basically invisible.

He's going to die anyways so he should find some remote location where they may never find him and blow his own brains out. This leaves the LAPD on edge forever , wondering where/when he shows up again.

Sometimes people distort facts to make one side look worse and sway public appearance against them.

The US Military is famous for this.  They also distort facts to make themselves looks better.  See: Pat Tillman, Jessica Lynch.

Whenever there is a shiatstorm happening, things get embellished.  I remember the Media was blaming the first bombing of the WTC on a Croatian freedom fighter initially.

Regardless of whether or not the police shoot up any more civies during this hunt, you will not be hearing about.  Police PR learned their lesson.

I think he should show up on the Venice Pier with a gym bag and just wait for shiat to happen.

The internet felating of Dorner will fade eventually. Other than the initial manifesto he doesn't have anything to answer the media access the LAPD has at their disposal. Only one side is able to be heard.

In fact, appearanceson this board aside I would bet most people just think of this as a normal manhunt for a mass murderer.

"This is not about catching a fugitive," LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said today. "This is about preventing a future crime - likely a murder.

Because if they go unchecked. LAPD is actually going to manage to kill some innocent on the street. Please people, if you see something, say something, or else the cops will be forced to shoot another civilian. They don't like these rules any better than the rest of us, people...
