If he wants to go for maximum trolling, he'll admit to being a Brony himself.

Wow, I genuinely thought that was a second-rate parody news site until I looked around at other pages and the comments. Poe's law in total effect.

Well, to be fair, Bill Clinton is about as close as we can to being under Princess Molestia's rule.

**Takes off glasses and allows eyes to drift**

YAY! Pony thread. Moar pictures of the walleyed mailmare.

Seriously, the show is like visual prozac, You can not be depressed watching it. Best thing to have happened to me since having my accident back in 2011. Sounds corny, but the thurmaturgy of familiarity involving miniscule equines has made getting through some of the darkest days of my life a lot more bearable.

She's got my vote.

Now there is a minor problem with this campaign, which is this: there are, in fact, no US Presidential elections slated for 2013, so we've got a little Constitutional work to do. Getting 3/4 of the State legislatures should be easy pickings, because State legislators will pass anything. All that's left is to get Congress to propose a suitable amendment with a 2/3 majority, right? Let's take a peek into the House and see what's happening in preparation for tomorrow night's State of the Union Drinking Games.

Okay. I can see this is gonna take a while, so until we get that taken care of, have another dose of visual prozac.

As a Discordian, I think I am pretty much obligated to love Pinkie Pie... But she is not Best Pony. (Eris forgive me)

Thanks for the vid.

Pinkie and Derpy both come from very different political backgrounds. Pinkie is pro cupcake, while Derpy is pro muffin. Frank Zappa indoctrinated me into my stance on muffins, so I must say that muffins are vastly superiour.

Also, we all know how Pinkie makes her cupcakes

Actually, I'd argue that MLP has nothing to do with the modern version of feminism whatsoever. Maybe the original version, which was more about equal rights for all, but not the modern "WE HAVE TO MAKE MEN PAY AND STILL SPOUT OFF ABOUT "EQUALITY" WHEN ALL WE REALLY WANT IS ALL THE GOOD STUFF BUT TO RETAIN THE DOUBLE STANDARD AS LONG AS IT WORKS IN OUR FAVOR" brand of feminism that is so prevalent today.

I posted that image because it made me laugh and I thought it'd be mocked relentlessly. But I underestimated the  ponypower.

Most adults really don't live their lives heckling people for their choice of Saturday Morning entertainment. They tend to have better things to do than confuse it with sexual orientation.

Of course we do, but Pinkie's special cupcake recipe is just part of a strategy to cut the costs of health-care reform.

As usual, one wing of the bureaucracy doesn't know what the other wing of the bureaucracy is doing, so there's also this muffin-centric way to ensure everyone recommended daily allowance of pony content. (Hail Discord, All Hail Equestria.)

A hilarious new video parodies popular left-wing internet media.

I'm sorry, was I the only one that saw that as a slam on vapid internet media as opposed to a political thing? Is this the kind of stuff Republicans are talking about when they say "liberal media"?

Counterpoint: A big chunk of people in the modern world aren't actually adults, they are simply people who have grown older.

I don't get the my little pony craze for middle aged guys. Creepy IMHO

Not a brony myself (except for liking the image macros), but... Lighten up, Francis.  So they like a stupid TV show.  So what?  If those people are your biggest worry, put a giant sign in your front yard telling everyone to get off your gorram lawn.  Sweet Jeebus.

That was the least funny thing I've ever seen.  I laughed more at the Hindenburg and 9/11 footage.

Your counterpoint could be taken that bronies aren't adults. Maybe they aren't.

But I read your point as more of a reference to the juvenile behaviors of adults who still obsess over the behaviors of others. They still haven't found the ability to be satisfied by themselves.

I have a 3 year old niece who loves MLP. She talks about Applejack and all that shiat.

Older males liking this is just retarded and creepy

2013-02-12 02:09:44 PM
I have never had much occasion to see the show, but I love coming into these threads just to see all the people getting their panties in a bunch over some other people enjoying a television show. It's always the same few people too. I imagine them fervently refreshing, looking for pony threads they can run into to make fun of. They always try to act so nonchalant about it too like "oh hey guys, how did I end up in this pony thread? Weird, I was totally just passing through on my way to the sports tab. Well, you're all creepy pedophiles, bye."
