OK, this time lets try to keep the votes reasonable, or they'll just keep screwing us over.

2001-11-26 01:55:15 PM
2001-11-26 01:56:03 PM
I just went there, doesn't look like they wiped the results to me.
2001-11-26 01:57:27 PM
never mind. bastards
2001-11-26 01:59:01 PM
What the fark is "The Gord"?
2001-11-26 01:59:48 PM
O.K.,I voted for Wil Wheaton this time instead of SLAYER.
It is the best for all involved.
2001-11-26 02:00:16 PM
People actually voted for Britney Spears and Madonna? Methinks EW has rigged some of the answers.
2001-11-26 02:00:23 PM
Vote: My Nuts
2001-11-26 02:01:10 PM
Of course they rigged the answers. You think anyone who actually subscribes to the print version of EW actually wants to read a feature article on Lowtax?
2001-11-26 02:01:14 PM
I voted Wil

james marsters is #2 though...maybe i'll go vote for him now
2001-11-26 02:01:53 PM
I voted for Michael Jackson.
2001-11-26 02:02:15 PM
Votes for wil but i dont know how we can manage to get him back up there with all those britney votes
2001-11-26 02:02:38 PM
It was indeed wiped. The standings are:

1. The gord (2768 votes)
2. James Marsters (2309 votes)
3. d-rock allstar express (2289 votes)
4. Britney Spears (2282 votes)

9. Les Claypool (1968 votes)
10. Dave Grohl (1954 votes)

Not good.
2001-11-26 02:03:57 PM
Seriously, what is the gord?
2001-11-26 02:04:14 PM
My vote for Wil in place.
2001-11-26 02:04:19 PM
It *appears* to still be accepting multiple votes, but I merely voted Wil twice.
2001-11-26 02:04:35 PM
Good idea Anti-Alias. How many times has Jacko entertained us this year with his creepiness?
2001-11-26 02:04:59 PM
Who is The Gord?

Great read. Link originally from the SA forums. Enjoy.
2001-11-26 02:05:11 PM
A vote for Wil is a vote for America
2001-11-26 02:06:10 PM
Rich gets my vote. He's funny and actually entertains, unlike Wil.
2001-11-26 02:06:47 PM
So why did they wipe the last poll results? Didn't like the outcome? I voted Wil, but do ya think they'll actually count it?
2001-11-26 02:06:47 PM
there is a good chance that they have blocked will wheaton, lowtax, mos, etc. also, they may have altered the page to prevent repeat votes from being counted. any news?
2001-11-26 02:07:34 PM
I voted for Wil, but maybe we should vote for RObober too? Might as well help our fellow Farkers

2001-11-26 02:07:36 PM
Better Gord link, courtesy of

I'm not linking it since you probably shouldn't go there, anyway. It sounds scary.
2001-11-26 02:07:48 PM
Wil got my vote!
2001-11-26 02:07:58 PM
This is stupid, they wiped the results but didn't fix the problems. I voted for Wil again but I don't think it will matter.
2001-11-26 02:08:10 PM -> farked
2001-11-26 02:08:35 PM
I just threw my vote down. Rich "Lowtax" Kyanka.
I'm afraid lowtax entertains me far more than any number of celebrities combined :)
I dont think the magazine will accept votes for Lowtax or Wheaton. Maybe we should all vote Walken?
2001-11-26 02:08:56 PM
Christopher Walken!
2001-11-26 02:09:27 PM
Here are the results:

2001-11-26 02:09:41 PM
3Horn: Yes, cast a few for Ms. Dunst.
2001-11-26 02:10:50 PM
The Continental is classy
2001-11-26 02:11:45 PM
I'm suspicious of those numbers, they only wiped them a couple hours ago and 2,000 people have already voted for Britney?
2001-11-26 02:14:57 PM
So, who or what the hell is "The Gord?" That fat hairy tub at the link above? What did he do?
2001-11-26 02:15:39 PM
If Wil Wheaton can't win two places on the entertainer of the year list, the terrorists have already recieved a free print of cliche kitty in the mail.
2001-11-26 02:16:12 PM
Perrin: Also, at that rate, you'd think she'd have 3000 by the time I wrote this, but her numbers are static.
2001-11-26 02:16:46 PM
News of this sabotage must be spread across the Web like a cancer. They must pay for this treachery.

If Wil doesn't make the Top Ten, the terrorists have won.
2001-11-26 02:17:22 PM
yeah, they're all static. Doesn't look like any of the numbers have changed since they wiped the board.
2001-11-26 02:19:10 PM
Why do they even bother having an open vote if they are just going to fix the results?
2001-11-26 02:19:40 PM
If Wil Weaton doesn't make the top 10 then
the terrorist have already won!
2001-11-26 02:21:10 PM
I think the only part dynamic about that page is how it shows what you typed in the box on the previous page...
2001-11-26 02:21:18 PM
I didn't want to throw my vote away so I voted for "The Gord".
2001-11-26 02:21:40 PM
I get the feeling the morons forgot that the internet is the domain of geeks and nerds. They expected the usual teeney bop population to vote and justify their advertisements, and instead they were assaulted by the geeks.
2001-11-26 02:22:11 PM
Hard to pass on Les Claypool.
2001-11-26 02:24:19 PM
Odd... I pressed "Click here to see the results so far" and it said:

You voted for: Rich "Lowtax" Kyanka

I have yet to vote for Lowtax, but I'm going to put a few in. What a cheesy script, though. I wonder if someone got paid to make it.
2001-11-26 02:24:23 PM
This vote is deemed unconstitutional and should be boycotted.
2001-11-26 02:24:49 PM
Meshman, I don't know anything about naked fat guy links that Dahaka has in his history folder, but the gord's site ( looks like it got hammered into submission seconds after I posted the link. Anyway, the Gord runs (or did run)a video game store and posted hilarious stories of his encounters on his website. Well worth reading when it comes around again.
2001-11-26 02:24:58 PM
If, All your Al Queda are belong to us, then the terrorists have already won.

Both of these jokes are starting to wear thin....

Ms. Dunst just got my vote. The site does leave a cookie perhaps we should all delete and vote a billion times... Farkers of the world unite..
2001-11-26 02:25:59 PM
Do a google search for the gord.
It is link #9 in the list of results. It seemed more interesting than the other 9 on the first page.
2001-11-26 02:26:31 PM
Hey Fishbowl, ever hook up with her?
