Lessee here, another example of the Fark Hive Mind's inconsistent beliefs:

1. An original, successful work of creativity should be left alone: no sequels, reboots, re-imaginings, etc.
2. There should be no IP rights, or at the very least no IP rights that extend for decades after the creator's death. If anyone wants to exploit anyone else's creation for their own profit, that should be just fine and dandy.

The original cartoon was perfect.  It had excellent narration and didn't try to pad itself to 90 minutes for the sake of a theatrical release.
