How Orwellian sounding that was...

Fail in Human Form: If you're really paying attention, listening to the scanner (before they killed the Big Bear feed due to all the open mics allowing us to listen in on the TAC channels lol), ect. The lessons learned from this are not about the shooting, but about his ability to evade the authorities.

LA Mayor just offered up a $1 million reward for info that leads to his arrest...said the money was offered up by businesses, unions, etc.

It will never be paid. Rewards are never actually paid out anymore. Their lawyers will find some wiggle room to get out of it

The FBI needs to stop this. Pronto. The LAPD cannot ram and open fire for no reason.

2013-02-10 04:11:26 PM
So the reward is for capture and conviction?  That $1MM will never be seen by anyone even if they do rat him out.  There is no way he is going to be "convicted" in court.

If Dorner was telling the truth about applying asymetrical warfare to the police and has gotten away with it this far I have to assume he's laughing his ass of somewhere safe watching them get into a tizzy and making his points.

But after a few months have gone by people will relax.  That's when I'd suspect he'd try something.

There's an ongoing second thread here  http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1438170_WAR_DECLARED_ON_LAPD_______2 . html
just dig through it.

Good thing this guy was in San Diego, and not in LA; he'd probably be dead:

http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Man-Mistaken-f or-Manhunt-Suspect -190284481.html

At least he matches the general description of Dorner.

2013-02-10 04:14:12 PM

FormlessOne: Dorner's manifesto, as disturbing as it was, does make some sense. What in the hell is going on with the LAPD? "Hey, it's two chicks in a pick-up truck - Dorner's dressed like two chicks! Shoot 'em!" "Hey, it's a skinny white guy in a pick-up truck - Dorner's dressed like a skinny surfer! Shoot 'em!"

Perhaps someone should be less worried about Dorner and more worried about what's going on in the LAPD. It's almost as if the LAPD wants to ensure Dorner never makes it to trial.

That's what I've been saying, no way they're ever gonna let him under oath.

Mistymtnhop: Krieghund:
My guess is he's either dead from hypothermia or a self inflicted bullet to the head, but they won't find the body till spring. And that may very well have been his intention.

With what you know regarding this case, what leads you to believe that this man would be unaware of the weather conditions in and around the San Berbard mountain area that he would drive all the way up there, torch his truck, apparently the same truck the police are still shooting at whenever they see it, and then trek off into the forest to freeze to death? Doesn't really fit what we know the facts to be, does it?
And if he burned his truck on Friday why were cops shooting and ramming the same type of truck he had on Saturday?

You need a scorecard to follow this story but: (1) Dorner was perfectly aware of the weather conditions in the S.B. Mts, he had survival gear in his truck. But news stories in the past day or two have added the information that his truck, off on a Forest Service fire road, turned out to have a broken axle which very much suggests he was forced to stop short of wherever he was headed. Meaning he had to improvise with whatever he could carry. (2) The LA Times story in TFA is describing something that happened on Thursday, long before Dorner's burnt truck was discovered.

I'm betting that Krieghund will turn out to be right. Though if Dorner decided to take himself out of the game, I'd bet that he did so in the most out-of-the-way place he could find, figuring the search for him would have to continue basically forever.

Perhaps the rush to defend the LAPD is "lunacy"?

Their reaction to these disgusting events seems pretty farking crazy to me, and certainly not "professional".

This is why only cops should have guns. The professionalism and the marksmanship is tagged throughout that vehicle. Only cops, with their intense training, are capable of the safe operation of firearms.

Man, wouldn't it be cool if all cops were like, "Yeah, we're TOTALLY gonna get this guy!"- when it came to regular heinous crimes?

You know, instead of getting all bandwagony, and manhunt'ish when some creepy, renegade, emotionally charged, vendetta-driven, rambo ex-cop dunderhead starts targeting one of their own and their families? Man, that'd be neato!

Blood flows in the streets of LA due to gang violence NIGHTLY:
Typical police response: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Blood flows in the streets of LA because an ex-cop starts targeting people behind the 'Thin Blue Line':
Police response: WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR!!!!!! THIS SHALL NOT STAND!  UNACCEPTABLE!!! WHAAAAARRRR!!!! JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED!!!

And then all the cops get trigger happy; paranoid.  Which in turn makes the citizens trigger happy...and paranoid.

OK, show of hands.

How many are afraid of this guy?
How many are afraid of the local police proving his position?

thought so

We'd all be much safer if we'd just turn in our guns.  If we do that then Dorner wont have any guns either.  Oh wait, he won't comply because he knows the pigs are trigger happy fascists happy to murder you for the hell of it.

StrangeQ: Igor Jakovsky: Remember the Rampart scandal in the late 90's?  The fallout from that supposedly helped clean up the LAPD.  Maybe they've gone back to their old ways.  Im not sure who to believe here,  Why do many farkers automatically believe this guys manifesto?  Regardless, if this guy is putting hits out on LAPD and/or their families then fark him.  There are other ways to go about whistle blowing and unlawful termination without getting all shooty.

Like what?  File a report?  A complaint?  Do you really think, with the rampant police corruption in this country, that such a thing would have any effect at all?  The police have shown that they are good at one thing and one thing only: protecting their own.  They don't give a damn about you or anyone else who isn't carrying a badge.  But go ahead, blow that whistle.  If you stick around long enough you might even get to see one of them carrying the paperwork off to the bathroom so they can wipe their ass with it before flushing it down the drain.

In what world do you think targeting cops and their families is an acceptable response to perceived corruption?  Again, I ask, how do you know everything that he claims is true?  In my original response when the Rampart scandal came to light, the perpetrators were farked and the CRASH program was shut down.  Like I said you can fight corruption without getting shooty.

I have to at least give the SD Police credit for not shooting at someone who, at the very least, matches Dorner's general description. The people in this story and the two women delivering newspapers, looked nothing like Dorner, and the only thing they had in common with Dorner was that they were driving a pick-up truck.

Fortunately for innocent bystanders they attempt to kill, cops are mostly terrible shots.

Cops just offered a $1M bounty on this guy. That is vastly in excess of any that have been offered for people who weren't targeting cops, just children and other innocent people.

Chief Beck even proudly pointed this out during the press conference. 'As a society, we value our Law Enforcement!' Yeah, thanks Lou.

At this point I think the safest course of action would be to simply re-open Alcatraz and ship any of the police doing stupid shiat because "Dorner" and just lock them in there.  Then tourists will have something to look at as they pass through and they will know that they are truly scum.

At this point it is like saying "Dorner" is a free ticket for the police down in Southern California, more so than usually.

2013-02-10 04:39:44 PM

ha-ha-guy: smells_like_meat: Dorner is likely long gone. Past Mexico by now. Perhaps Cuba or some other unfriendly spot. The roadblocks in LA are harassment pure and simple. "We're doing this because we can".

The psychologist's statement that "The police are not used to being hunted." is relieving. So, they are used to being the hunters? Not even a pretense of "To protect and serve?

You also have to wonder what kind of message this sends to the street gangs in LA.  You off a couple cops at a stoplight and LAPD just shiats itself in terror and falls apart.  Suddenly fighting it out with LAPD might not seem so scary.

Thats why I think people are crazy if they think  the police department could ever confiscate guns from an entire city.

Terminating officers because they expose a culture of lying, racism (from the academy), and excessive use of force will immediately change. PSB can not police their own and that has been proven. The blue line will forever be severed and a cultural change will be implanted. You have awoken a sleeping giant.I am here to change and make policy. The culture of LAPD versus the community and honest/good officers needs to and will change. I am here to correct and calibrate your morale compasses to true north.

Uh, only a farking asshole who should kill himself would call him a "left winger". Especially given how he had high praise for many prominent conservatives. But I'm guessing any reading you did of his "manifesto" was through the heavily edited, poop eating retards eye view of your freeper and stormfront idiot friends.
