We're not responsible enough to manage your donations, so you should give us more money.  Who do they think they are, the government?

The lesson I took away from that movie is that you can't trust a cripple.

Also that ravens make good pets.

"Kelly said they do believe the money was stolen, but have not filed a police report. "We operate as a place of honesty and love, and we did not want to say it was stolen if we weren't absolutely sure.""

But you need to file a police report anyways. If it was stolen, then you're just encouraging the person who stole it if the police don't get involved.

Where's that money, you silly stupid old fool? Where's that money? Do you realize what this means? It means we have to beg for more money! That's what it means! One of us is going to have to beg; well, it's not gonna be me!

"Kelly said they do believe the money was stolen, but have not filed a police report. "We operate as a place of honesty and love, and we did not want to say it was stolen if we weren't absolutely sure."

Translation: we embezzled too much money this year and now we need more donations to avoid going to PMITA prison.

You think Uncle Billy was out sucking dicks in an alleyway before he got the idea to call all of George's friends for the money?

And better yet, did he finish his current client off after getting his bright idea, but before calling around?

4 to 7 thousand?    Well what is it?  I smell shenanigans.

a carnival full. even a charitable organization should keep books on a daily basis. if a personal checkbook is off 1 cent it may as well be $1000.00; it is unacceptable. besides, you rip off the cash before it hits the ledger so it's never missed.

Even if it really was stolen, I'm not particularly apt to donate to a charity whose attitude when several thousand dollars are stolen is "Well that's ok, we can always just ask for more money."

You mean Potter returned the money? With interest?

Maybe its all a dream.

They should check their pockets for Zuzu's petals.

Idiots! not for having money stolen, but because the operate from a place of naive hope that somehow, the money will turn up afterall, who would steal from a non-profit. No need for cynicism, but for bit of practical realism. If they file a report and the money was not stolen, all is good.

When I read the headline I really was hoping that whoever was overturning rocks was looking for a person who suddenly had never been born. Disappointed!

We're inept. Give us more money.

/How about no?
//It's still sad, and a dick move to steal from charity, though

So the person in charge is going to get hammered and drive their car into a tree?

This is more like an episode of Leave It To Beaver. In the episode titled Community Chest, Beaver loses the money he collected for charity and ends up asking donors how much they donated so that Ward (Beaver's's father) can replace the lost money. Most donors give again and some even increase their donation.

Behold the power of Fark, let's all make donations

/or something

Do they actually think they're going to get away with this? I'm pretty sure at least one of the hookers is going to talk, or the coke dealer will show up and try to sell them another 8-ball.
