It's SUPER EFFECTIVE!

The Blobfish doesn't really look that ridiculous. It's a deep sea creature, so being on the surface affects it's looks. Also, it's dead, so that's gotta affect it's appearance.

I mean, it still looks rather Pokemonish, just not as bad as the picture would suggest.

they're a neotenal species whose adult members never lose their gills...The adorable smile, the fuzzy ear/horn things, the perfectly pointed fingers... that's a cartoon character, no question about it.

Uh, the fuzzy ear/horn things ARE their gills.

Uh, the fuzzy ear/horn things ARE their gills.

They also called the funnel on the dumbo octopus its "nose", so it seems like they're not so great on their non-mammalian anatomy.

Also misspelled "proboscis monkey" as "proboscus".

And apparently the aye-aye is the world's largest nocturnal animal.

More article fail for the Aye Aye: "their reputation may have something to do with the fact that they're the world's largest nocturnal animal "

So these things are bigger than leopards and hyenas?

You know what would make a good pokemon? The Sacculina.

It's a type of shell-less barnacle - more like a slug - that likes to attach itself to crabs, inject itself inside, eat the crab's innards, take over its brain, and eventually poke its head out the top of the shell and drive the zombie-crab around the ocean floor like an undersea dune buggy. It also uses the crab's reproductive faculties to mate.

Doesn't that sound like a cool pokemon?

/what's a pokemon?

This might just be the first list on any site that wasn't cracked that wasn't 10% legitimate content, 90% worthless unrelated filler.  Not bad at all.

And it wasn't even a slideshow. It's like they didn't get the memo that the rest of the internet got or something.

I always got the impression that psyduck was a platypus. And the aye-aye actually got a nod in the pokemon-esque Ni No Kuni that just came out
