Primitive Screwhead: Slow down, ya sidewalk surfin, cube gleamer!
joonyer: True story: I got a speeding ticket for doing 68 in a 55. On a bike. Highway 95 down into Lewiston, Idaho made it all possible.I thought I would win in court. I was wrong.
grouchy pants: South Africa makes it to fark!#winning
fat boy: grouchy pants: South Africa makes it to fark!#winningThat's nothing, a Kenyan made it to the Whitehouse.
gweilo8888: FTFA: "Toward the bottom of the run, he is seen throwing up his hands in jubilation after a GPS system strapped to his foot showed he had clocked up 68 mph in a 37 mph zone, local media said."No. No, they didn't.Seriously, America. Are you that terrified of the metric system that you're now pretending it doesn't exist at all?Local media didn't say he clocked anything in a 37 mph zone, because there's no such thing as a 37 mph zone. 37mph is 59.54kph, so quite clearly it was a 60kph zone. What the hell ever happened to inserting your cute, backwards translation in parentheses after the real information, NBC?
brap: My attempt at a land-speed record on a cheapo banana style skateboard ended with me flying off a bike path and becoming one with a barbed wire fence. Apparently anything over 20 mph sent the thing into full-on wobble and buck mode. That was the day I gave up skateboarding.

Apparently anything over 20 mph sent the thing into full-on wobble and buck mode. That was the day I gave up skateboarding.ack! 1970's department store skateboards were almost as horrible as home-made wood w/ metal skate wheels boards. teeny tiny low quality pieces of crap which the rider had almost no control over. TTBOMK bike helmets & pads didn't even exist back then. we were stupid enough to repeatedly go down the steepest, longest hill roads in town. it is amazing the risk you put yourself in when you're young.anyone remember the summer Action Park had these combo skateboard/skiing thingies you would take down the steep rock and grass ski slope hill on a sunny afternoon? how that death park stayed in business is an education in beating lawsuits and avoiding paying taxes while paying stoned kids shiat wages to run your business for you. infarkingcredible. i'm surprised that place didn't eliminate an entire generation of No.NJ kids.
