Oh, this one is outstanding. The radio always gets real loud for the first two songs on Amorica. I am going to listen to it right now.

emocomputerjock: No Offspring? Nitro and Bad Habit from Smash will get shiat started.

Definitely.

BKITU: Metallica, Master of Puppets

"Battery" --> "Master of Puppets"

Though I prefer Blackened -> AJFA, that is an equally great 1-2.  Of course, MOP is the most complete metal album ever conceived, so it has that.

The list has some pretty good ones.

I will offer that the best one-two-THREE punch I've ever heard is from the Mule "Mule" album from 1993 on Touch & Go/Quarterstick.  That band deserved more due than they got.  They were fierce.

BKITU: Metallica, Master of Puppets

"Battery" --> "Master of Puppets"

I'm gonna go a different route and suggest The Call of Ktulu -> Master of Puppets on S&M. Best opening 20 minutes to a concert ever.

2013-02-08 12:30:18 PM
Pretenders, "Learning to Crawl":
"Middle of the Road" -> "Back On the Chain Gang"
Elvis Costello, "My Aim Is True":
"Welcome to the Working Week" -> "Miracle Man"

Boston, "Boston" (yeah, it's overplayed now, but imagine putting in on the record player for the first time in 1976...)
"More Than a Feeling" -> "Peace of Mind"

My musical tastes might vary from a lot of you here, but the music listed here > the shiatstorm listed in the link.

Except for the guy who mentioned Converge.  That was the only one I agreed with.

Teh-Yak: Stinkfist and Eulogy from Aenima was the first thing that came to mind

So much THIS!

Afghan Whigs- Black Love- crime scene pt 1> my enemy

Led Zeppelin IV - "Black Dog" and "Rock and Roll" seems like a pretty obvious one.

Tom Waits' Early Years Vol. 2 leads off with "Hope That I Don't Fall In Love With You" and "Ol' 55." That's a pretty good start.

Beatles' Revolver - "Taxman" and "Eleanor Rigby"
