It really is sad that celebrities, especially female celebrities let the fashion/beauty industry and Hollywood dictate how they think they should look.  I think Heidi Montag and Tara Reid are great examples of damn good looking women going under the knife unnecessarily because of a few gossip columns, or some insane need to enhance something on their body.

Shocker - the longer you live, the more your body ages.  Youth is fleeting, this is not a new concept.

I don't know if you can blame it ALL on gossip rags or other outside pressures.  Lots of hollywood types go through life with no plastic surgery (or little enough surgery as to not be out of line with what would be considered "normal" nowadays), and it's only a small fraction, like your examples, that really fark themselves up with this stuff.  My guess is they have some deep personal self-esteem/body image issues.  I'm not disagreeing that hollywood gossip culture could be a contributor, but I think that the people who take this stuff WAY too far have a lot of their own problems that are more primary causes to this behavior.

I saw Lil Kim live a bazillion years ago and she's a surprisingly good performer. And although her music is far from Mozart, its a lot of fun. I still listen to it.

I was always rooting for her. 

Poor thing. I have to imagine that this is a surgery to FIX all the other surgeries, but I doubt it. I can't imagine she thinks she looks good. She needs a psychologist. I also think that plastic surgeons who continue to do elective surgery until their patient's face is disfigured should really have their licenses revoked.
