DreamyAltarBoy: Well, authenticity, schmauthenticity. I haven't heard them live, but their studio work seems to lack a bit of passion, happens to a lot of bands in the studio. They might spit fire live, but it didn't get captured on the recording. As for how they dress? I don't really care. It's good that they seem amiable and grounded.

If you haven't watched it check out the documentary The Big Easy Express. It was filmed when Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, and Old Crow Medicine Show were doing their Railroad Revival Tour.

MaxSupernova: I just bought tickets for and the Mrs. to see them in St. Augustine in September.  Im not a big musical festival fan and would rather see them at a concert in a "normal" venue but it should be a good show with them and Edward Sharpe.  Spending a weekend in St.  Augustine will be nice as well.  Its one of the more tolerable places in the state of florida.

I'm considering picking up tickets for their stop in Simcoe, ON the end of August on that tour since Old Crow Medicine Show will also be joining them that date along with Edward Sharpe. It's a good 18 hour drive from where I am in Nova Scotia but since OMCS is probably my favourite band, and both Mumford and Sons and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes both make my top 10 it will be worth it.

DreamyAltarBoy: Exactly what I did.

M&S sound like they don't have any dirt under their nails, but they don't sound like they're trying to fake sincerity either. Just who the kid with the opinion is I don't know.

They dress the part for the style of music they play. Every interview I've seen they come off as pretty laid back, down to earth kind of guys so who cares if they grew up (relatively) privileged. A lot of other musicians playing the same genre of music who did grow up poor seem to like them well enough.
