Hey, he's just asking questions here!

2013-02-08 07:16:34 AM
Ah so that's how he gets away with it.

Appear like an authority on things but in truth just stir the pot with leading and loaded questions - is he a lawyer?

*shakes his head, I am such a newb*

"Have you heard anything about the Bush war crime investigations?"

2013-02-08 07:44:57 AM
wrong.  fox news broke the story.  steve duecy told me.

Of course it's assumed that most people who watch Bill O'Reilly will never switch on NBC (nor click on a HuffPo article, for that matter), so they'll believe his crap.

2013-02-08 10:50:16 AM
He was being truthful.

He hadn't heard anything, nor had his staff.

They'd have had to pay attention to anything outside the Fox bubble to have heard something.

Oh sure, you'll just say that a news organization should probably pay attention to things happening "out there", but you'd be wrong.  They don't have to.

Stories come in
Stories go out

Bill O'Reilly can't explain that.

make me some tea: Of course it's assumed that most people who watch Bill O'Reilly will never switch on NBC (nor click on a HuffPo article, for that matter), so they'll believe his crap.

And as the article pointed out, he and his staff never turn it on either.  That way they can truthly say that they never saw NBC covering it.

Fine, but I want to know why Bill O'Reilly isn't asking questions about this - who is he protecting?

Amazing that businesses will lie about their competitors, supporting their own self interest over the good of the consumers.

2013-02-08 10:58:37 AM
They're covering it, but not covering it right.  The lamestream eat-and-park, shake-and-bake media keep talking about how the drone program was started under bush.  the correct way to report this story is that the Anointed One started the program himself as a test run before turning the drones on Real American gun owners.

It's more sinister than that, of course.  Fox relies on the narrative that they are the only purveyors of truth and that the rest of the media is a liberal bastion of misinformation.

Hey Bill, Did The Paris Business Review cover the story?

2013-02-08 11:00:33 AM
When are the Republicans going to introduce a bill to make using drones illegal?

I hear a lot of whinning from the GOP about using drones but they don't seem to do anything about them.

2013-02-08 11:00:40 AM
B-but all the parties have partisan networks that engage in exactly the same level of pandering with no difference between them whatsoever so we shouldn't judge Fox News!

Prepare yourself for a shock: they don't actually give a crap about drone strikes, they'll just latch on to anything they can use as criticism against Obama.

And yet he made it "true" merely by asking the question. Simply delightful how that works.

I bet you also believe that Republicans voted to decrease funding for State Department security overseas and then tried to frame a resulting security failure as a scandal by the Obama administration.  Because it's true.

They want to claim that they only oppose Obama because he's the most liberal president in the history of this world (and any existing parallel dimensions) and that he's particularly weak on terrorism (due to the fact that he takes orders from his Muslin overlords), but they also want to say "Suck it libs!  He's not so liberal after all!"

/They were also convinced that Mitt Romney's record as a moderate would help him win in the Northeast, and his commitment to severe conservatism during the primaries would satisfy the party's Southern base, thus giving the GOP a landslide victory.

Is this the official thread for what that thread yesterday devolved into? About how the "liberal" media doesn't cover anything potentially bad for Obama? I'm pretty sure that was thoroughly discussed and disproved.

It might make him too uncomfortable about his beliefs. I can sympathize. It's hard sometimes to accept that what you've believed in for so many years may be false. It took me a long time to admit to myself that I am an atheist, for example.

Just think of how many times this idea will be repeated today by O'Reilly's audience. And when you challenge your Facebook friend with the truth (that NBC has been covering this story), you are one step closer to being unfriended (I hope that's the right word.  I don't use Facebook).
