Their families probably have a refrigerator too.

And a color TV.
And Cable.
And a flat screen TV.
And a WII.
And a SUV.
And a dog.
And More than one toilet.

But we are going to feed them

Feel free to get on welfare if you think its so sweet. We'll be happy to feed you too just so you'll stop biatching about it. Maybe with a full stomach you'll start to think about us buying billion dollar planes and tanks that go un-used instead of worrying that somebody got $175.00 you think they don't need because they have a Playstation 2 in their house.

Teacher: and yet I note that every one of you is signed up as 'in need' and get free breakfast and lunch.   Hmmmm...

Teacher: ok, well on to our reading assignment....

At the very least, those who misappropriated funds should lose their jobs. Those who reported extra students that didn't exist to get extra funding, and those who retaliated against whistle blowers should be criminally charged as well.

This is what happens when you have the feds involved in programs that should be operated at the state and local level.  Welcome to Obananny's America.

Here, there are several programs that provide food to needy school kids. One of the programs sends food home with them for the weekends. If you talk to the kids who participate in this program; you'll discover that they have to hide the food or their parents take it and eat it.

You read that right; sometimes, the only reliable meal these kids get is at school. You'd also discover that their parents very rarely buy anything but junk food.

These same people often have huge tvs and new cars. It's not that they have the money to pay for that kind of stuff; they just have poor impulse control and poor money management abilities.

/ I feel that anyone on the public dole shouldn't be buying huge tvs and new cars every three years; they should be feeding their damn kids.

Who cares? They can just pass another Prop 30 when the coffers run dry. After all, the idiot voters are pretty much helpless against tried-and-true appeals to emotion like "for the children! " and "tax the rich! "

Look, if you're going to bother to reply to the troll, the least you can do is point out that his scenario is completely made up.

Glass houses, stones and all that. Grow up.

OMG! A school district in the LA region is now in charge of the Federal Government?!?!? When did this happen?

sno man: A school district has a television station?!? Is this a thing?

bofkentucky: I've never heard of an actual high school with a broadcast TV license.

The high school I went to in Central Missouri had their own TV station. Although it was run by the teacher that taught video production and usually just ran a slideshow with music with photos of recent events, students/teachers winning awards, team photos, and other general activities within the district. Our school also had a class program for those interested in becoming newscasters/reporters (it was a step beyond the basic video production class) and they would further develop skills in video editing and such. Every week there would be a broadcast on the station during seminar, we would watch whatever they came up with.

Apparently other schools were impressed by it because school programs would take field trips to our school just to see it and school officials with an interest in video production/broadcasting courses would come from all over Western Missouri to view our set up.

Seems to me a sprinkler is a very creative way of ensuring the kids eat for a very long time.......

One afternoon, a wealthy lawyer was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two pathetic-looking men by the side of the road, eating grass. He ordered his driver to stop and got out to investigate. He asked the men, "Why are you eating grass?"
"We don't have no money for food," the first man replied.

"Then you must come with me to my house," insisted the lawyer.
"But, sir, I got a wife and three kids here," said the man.
"Bring them along!" replied the lawyer.
The second man exclaimed, "I got a wife and six kids!"
"Bring them as well!", the lawyer proclaimed as he headed back to his limo.
They all climbed into the car, and once underway, one of the men expresses, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."
The lawyer replied, "I'm most happy to do it. You'll love my place. The grass is almost a foot tall."

The school districts misused the funds, not the feds, but don't let facts get in the way of your hissy fit.

Since this earmarked money was illegally shifted from one bucket to another, the attorney general will soon announce criminal charges, right?
