It's almost like when you give an ignorant teenage girl money for having a child she thinks that having more children will get her more money.

That is the hardest part. The wife and I have been trying for several years now, yet any kid or drug addict just cn pop one out like a Pez dispenser.

I taught service learning in an Americorps program for at risk teens.  One of my students turned 19 mid year and was pregnant with her 4th.

You mean government actually subsidizes/provides financial incentives for this type of behavior?
Just because we have to keep our laws off their bodies does not mean women have to keep their hands out of of the tax payers' wallets.

Be it for having kids they cannot afford or aborting them-pay up citizen and keep your mouth shut..

Agreed, Wife and I have tried for 3 years, fertility pills dont work and now we are looking at adoption after finding out one of her tubes is blocked and she might not be able to ever concieve on her own, but seeing shows like this where tard face teens get pregnant on first try and whine about how tough it is to raise a child while wanting to party just pisses me off.

No you retard, because MTV paid her to be on a show called "Teen Mom". That girl has made more money than you.

The saddest thing about that is 15 years ago your stories could have been airing on TLC. This direction our entertainment is headed in, I don't like it.

I think we can all be sure that money will be gone as fast as it was for Octomom and she will be on welfare just like the others.

Headline aside, why should we care? Plenty of young women are in the same boat, and they don't have the benefit of being underwritten by MTV. The only reason people know who she is, is due strictly to MTV. That's sad.

Ah didn't take long to turn political. He was referring to the fact MTV obviously paid her to be on the show but thanks for that. It's funny that people are like OMG three kids but she had twins so really it's only her second pregnancy AND she's married to the guy but hey let's not let that stop your fark outrage.

My wife watched the first couple of seasons of that show.  In all honesty, this chick was one of the most well adjusted and trying to do the right thing.

(She ran out of seasons on Netflix.  We've been watching Quantum Leap lately)

The wife has had two miscarriages, so that makes things even worse. We have finally gone to a fertility doctor and most things tested out good. No major issues, so we start with some injections and insemination next month.

Good luck to you.  Our only choice to have children is adoption.  We've signed with an agency and just passed our one year mark "in the system".

I'm sorry for all of you not able to have your own kids.

I struggled with my infertility for years and every time I read a story like this it tore me up inside.

We should seriously make birth control mandatory.

I hope it works for you, they said we could try invetro(sp) but that would be a ways off considering the hefty price tag and that insurance doesn't cover it.  My wife and I always wanted to adopt, but for her to deal with the fact she can't get pregnant on her own makes her feel "broken" sometimes.  That isn't an easy emotion to deal with as a husband for sure.  I can't imagine comforting my wife through a miscarriage much less two.  Wish y'all the best of luck.

I have fertility problems and needed help and a few years to get pregnant.
Meanwhile, one of my cousins had two kids before 21 and another had 3 kids before 22.

Depressing indeed.

I'm sorry, everyone :( I hate that sometimes it seems like the least prepared/equipped get pregnant the quickest. My sister and her husband lost their (very much wanted) second baby in her second trimester. She's got PCOS so it's a lot harder for her to conceive. On the other hand, an idiot girl we know is a month away from having her second son, who has a different father than the first. Both fathers were guys she was casually dating. Took her half the pregnancy to quit smoking. Kid will probably wind up healthy as an ox. Sigh. At least she's getting her tubes tied after she gives birth.

Wow. I didn't realize how many farkers are experiencing the same issues. My wife and I are trying to adopt as well. It's hard not to feel bitter when you see people with random children (whom they often seem not to want).

THIS times eleventy. When I was unable to successfully form babby, with miscarriage after miscarriage, I was in social work.

That. Sucked. But not as much as my friend the cop, who, a few hours after returning to work following a miscarriage, found a dumpster baby.

This thread now sucks, so to try to perk it back up I will tell all the struggling farkers out there to hang in there. I now have two healthy happy kids, and it's worth all the shiat it took to get here. Well, most days. The oldest is 14, though, so there are moments...

Now, there's no such thing as an 'accidental' pregnancy. If you don't know how human reproduction works, nor are aware of a multitude of birth control options - then you are getting preggers on purpose... so don't come biatching to society to help you cause you're a victim. The only victim(s) here are the poor kids - as their mom is a vapid gash who's only functioning organ is her uterus.

I really hate those Nancy Grace-esque nicknames. Tot Mom, Teen Mom, et c. They are applicable to millions of people; don't do a good job of d escribing anything. Teen mom is still better than Tot Mom, though I su ppose.  Teen Mom at least narrows things down a bit. But every mom whose kid  survives past 18 months is a Tot Mom for a few years.
