Biness: Someone doesn't know what "yuppie" means. Yuppie = young professional. Here the term WASP would have worked better. Perhaps "ruling class," "aristocratic," etc would have been better.

Words have meaning

From Wikipedia:
"Yuppie (short for "young urban professional" or "young upwardly-mobile professional") is a term that refers to a member of the upper middle class or upper class in their 20s and 30s."

The upper middle to upper class part of is kind of important.

And if you don't trust Wiki, dictionary.com:

"a young, ambitious, and well-educated city-dweller who has a professional career and an affluent lifestyle."

/Sorry, I'm all for nailing people for using a term incorrectly, but it's a pet peeve of mine when people do the nailing part incorrectly themselves.
//Because words do, in fact, have meaning.

So, basically, a bunch of self-important snobs seeking elite status are mad that a bunch of self-important snobs that achieved that elite status exposed their non-elite status for jollies?

Something about lying down with dogs comes to mind....
