Jesus Christ, could FARK get any more racist?  This is an isolated incident.  I can't imagine any significant number of Jewish people arbitrarily claiming a location and then penalizing the current occupants, like these traffic police did.

Double fail, nothing was done about the car that parked in a No Parking spot.  Also, why only take her car under this premise and leave all those bikes blocking the path a potential wheelchair lift from a van.

feckingmorons: scottydoesntknow: feckingmorons: How do you paint a handicapped symbol under a car?

Don't give 'em too much credit. They just painted it at the end of the spot.

Well that explains it, what does Facebook have to do with it if they got some surveillance video?

I think it was because the video went viral on facebook, and the transportation authority (or whatever they're called in Tel Aviv) realized that the entire population will now know their jerkoffs and decided to drop everything. Her just having the video doesn't do much anymore, it's only when the court of public opinion weighed in that she had any credibility (in their eyes).

Rent Party: I stood at my office window and watched while Seattle Parking Enforcement dropped a temporary stop sign right next to my truck, and then ticket my truck for parking too close to a stop sign.  I complained, and they made me pay the fine.

Later that week, I stole the stop sign.  It hangs in my garage to this very day .

This CSB is brought to you by the letters "fark you Seattle PD."

i was ticketed for parking (legally) in my own driveway. beat the ticket in court. still had to pay cost of court, which was 3/4 the cost of the ticket.

I disagree.  There is a cut in the video where the shadows clearly change considerably.  What I think happened is the workers showed up, there was a car where they were supposed to paint the handicapped space, so they worked around it.  Sure, someone should have put cones up the day before, but since no one did, they did the next best thing.  They then left, probably without realizing the full consequences of their actions.  The tow truck showed up, saw the car in an illegal spot and towed.  Given the circumstances, absolutely, the ticket and tow fee need to be reversed, and an apology issued, but I don't see any malice in it.

Here's an article that actually shows the video of the incident (scroll to the middle). What a bunch of scumbags.

"A city representative accused her of lying, then told her she'd be charged a 350 shekel towing fee ($95), according to the Times of Israel."

This is the first article about this I've seen that mentions Facebook. I have to wonder if it really played a part, or if the station just assumed Facebook = clicks.

I guess it worked.
