I bet the doctors just thought she needed a little TLC. But, boy were they wrong! The Discovery that her placenta was still inside her at the A&E must have had her seeing STARZ! This kind of mistake is the Hallmark of a really unprofessional medical staff. Hopefully they got her on antibiotics and maybe even gave her a little Oxygen. This is really like the start of a bad movie on SyFy where the placenta grows into an amoeba-like zombie trilobitey bug-monster and bursts forth from her infected womb to lurk in the dark nooks of our Homes and Gardens and pick us off one by one until the human race is History.

/This would never happen on ESPN.

The confusion set in before the doctor could even close the door.

Get out of there, chuck. You're drunk.

ftfa: But she claims that doctors at Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex, weren't interested in her plight - and even refused to examine her when she went to A&E.

To be fair, Lifetime Network is probably better equipped for this sort of story.

phrawgh: It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, this is really rare. If it's a legitimate

afterbirth, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.

That seems like a waste. There's no way it's still good to use for placenta sandwiches now.

BronyMedic: That's why, at the very least, the OBGYN will examine the placenta to ensure it's intact after it passes, or will send it to the patho lab for the pathologist to put eyes on it.

Do the eyes hold it down so it doesn't slide off his desk? You know, like ripe, juicy little paperweights?

BronyMedic: rogue_L_chick: Dear god...all I can think about is what that must have smelled like...

You think that's bad, you should smell a neonate who had chorioamnionitis. It smells like rotten corpse fermenting in the fresh air of a summer sun on asphalt.

The problem is, I know you've smelled both.

Now I have to ask why the hell didn't you have your SCBA on, dummy?

If only she could have found it in herself to put her faith in God. The Lord would never let a young mother come to harm when she has a little one to care for.

Science can only do so much and when it fails, as it always does, the Lord is always there to save us.

But if you ensure the prompt expulsion of placentas where will the next generation of conservative leaders come from?
