Adults with comic books terrify me, as well.

I thought this would have mentioned a 1948 comic book at some point. I really want to know what comic it was.

You guys don't seem to understand time travel.  The abductor was actually the kid's son who had travelled back in time to 1948 FROM the future.  He wanted to give his kid the expensive and rare 1948 comic book collection to make his future self rich.  However, his plan didn't work out...

Actually the guy was an older version of the kid from the future, where time travel is a tourist industry.  He took a trip back to 1948 to get a comic book, which he figured on giving to himself in 2013 so that when he grew up he could sell it for enough to pay for the trip back in time to 1948.

Since he didn't deliver the comic, he's now created a temporal paradox and we'll all blink out of existence shortly unless he figures out another way to get his 2013 self that 1948 comic book.

BUTLER COUNTY -- A man who tried abducting a 9-year-old boy in Liberty Township on Monday is still on the run from police.
Butler County deputies said the boy was walking home on Long Drive around 6 p.m. when a man in his 20s tried to lure him into a black car with a comic book. But the child ran from the vehicle and the driver fled from the scene.
If anyone has information related to the incident, they are asked to call 513-785-1300.

Ok, I'll admit not getting the headline. How did subby come up with time travel and 1948 from that article?

The title is based on the fact that kids don't get into comic books today like they did in the 40s and 50s.  I just thought it was weird that a grown man would think that a kid would climb into his car for a comic book.

It's a joke poking fun at the fact that kids these days aren't interested in comic books.

/not subby.

If he really wanted to lure someone into his rape van with a comic book, he'd have to set his sights on overweight males aged 20-35 that are possibly Aspies.

If only the masses knew what is looming from the Brony threat. A tsunami of autism the likes of which even God has never seen.
