I'm sure those 5 people are all broken up.

labman: I'm sure those 5 people are all broken up.

I'd guess at least one is, and is trying to convince the others that they deserve something bad.  Then that person's gonna get hit by a car or have an AC fall out of a window on her or something.  The other four will think it sucks...until something similar happens to a second.  Then the three of them panic, one of whom is trying to get away from the others when she accidentally steps backwards into an open elevator shaft while yelling at them.  Then the other two are running for their lives, one gets killed in the process of breaking the supposed curse, which the last one successfully does.  Or at least she thinks she does, until she gets poisoned backstage at a modeling show, sees the dead person in the mirror, and the movie ends without you knowing if she's actually alive or a ghost.

Attention Whoring from the grave.  That's a whole new level.

Well...bye!

Yeah, it is sad that she killed herself...I guess this is an aspect of depression or self doubt that I will never grasp.  Other than being a somewhat impressionable teen many moons ago, for the most part, I really do not let other peoples opinions, gossip, or rumours negatively affect my attitude.  I am sure it helps that I've got a sunny disposition on life.

Which is why when I read stories like this, my only reaction is:  GET SOME FARKING PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE BEFORE YOU CONCLUDE THAT YOUR LIFE IS SOOOO "HORRIBLE"!!!

Rather than get depressed that someone is making fun of your fashion choice, be grateful that you have a multitude of clean clothes to choose from

Rather than say that your current man friend/boy friend does not treat you as well as you think you deserve, don't pop a bunch of pills do "drown out the pain," be grateful that you were born into a country that embraces women's rights, be grateful you were not born into child slavery or forced into prostitution, be grateful you have a choice on who you choose to date

First world problems to the max...stupid, self-centered, twunt.

this chick whined because she didn't live in manhattan.
BOO farkING HOO, LADY.

Like anyone is going to go to her funeral. If she had people who would go maybe she should have called one of them instead of swan diving off the bridge.

Too bad, she was cute. Well, she was cute before she hit the pavement

2013-02-07 12:33:13 PM
I seriously thought about leaving a list of people who, if they show up at my funeral, will be told to go piss up a rope.

2013-02-07 12:35:51 PM
They should show up anyway, as one final act of bullying.

2013-02-07 12:36:30 PM
She must have been so incredibly dumb to let 'fashion' bullies get to her. Well, and suicide as a viable option too.

She looks like she was a real coont. Im sorry she had so many problems that she saw death as her only way out. You would think though, if she was a big enough biatch she would have stayed alive to make everyone else's lives miserable.

Endive Wombat:

I am by no means championing suicide. Even though I have thought about it myself, I find it to be an extremely selfish act. However, as someone who has major depression / dysthymia, I assure you that you don't have to have something to be depressed about, nor do you actively search out things to be sad about.

It's neurological. It doesn't work that way. Now, can a person with depression not be able to deal with an event, circumstance, situation, et cetera, as well as someone without it? Absolutely.

Unfortunately, so many doctors hand out pills like candy that depression, in my view, is wildly over-diagnosed. It also carries the social stigma of either "you're faking it" or "you're defective" or some combination of the two, which is why myself and many others sit with it in silence in real life.

Yeah no matter how badly your life sucks, at least you still have Schadenfreude!

I wonder if we're going to see a lot more cases like this due these people growing up with that "everyone's a winner" upbringing, only to find out reality doesn't really work that way.

It could be, I have no idea.

I was more speaking in generalities because I'm not convinced that the general public is how aware how real depression is for those who suffer from it.

2013-02-07 12:58:36 PM
What a waste.
Especially considering I have the cure for depression right here in my pants.

I'd like to know how those five will be notified.  Do they get a nice card from the funeral director stating, "We regret to inform you that you are the dearly departed's funeral shiat list.  Please do not attend.  Thank you."

Thank GAWD...she was *such* an insufferable coont. She did *everyone* a favor. I mean did you see that crap she pawned off as designer jewelry?? My 4 year-old makes better clothing accessories at summer camp. Jebus CHRIST on a Pogo Stick, I can't even *imagine* what brilliance this daft, walking ax wound would come up with next. My god, I'm certain, in her spare time, she was going to refute Stephen Hawking theorys of Singularities and the Geometry of Space-Time and she's probably close to identifying and proving the existence of the Higgs Boson.
What a shame.

It's not so easy to do an armchair diagnosis. Yeah, it sounds to me like she never quite left high school, mentally. OTOH, depression is tricky. Organic and unavoidable though it may be, plenty of those suffering from clinical depression (myself included) get to be very adept at putting on a happy face in public and acting normally, even though it's gnawing away at them inside. This includes not speaking about their real feelings to anyone; in many cases, this lack of any kind of release can lead to tremendous buildup which can lead to suicide.

"She also directed her rage at a man who she said hadn't treated her well. That person was invited to the funeral, but Ashley wrote she hopes he 'gets what he deserves'"

Aww honey, you should have called me....I would have treated you well...at least nightly.

On a serious note, depression is a biatch...rather than take responsibility she went out blaming others for her demise.

I like the idea of planning my own funeral, just in case, not cause I'm offing myself. I'm going to make my funeral guest list tonight with seating placement and decoration instructions. I prefer a band over a dj and I would like a signature cocktail....maybe call it something sassy, like the "drown my sorrows strawberry tini". This is fun, just like planning my wedding!
