Disappointed in LA
A lot of the older folks I know that grew up to his music said the same thing when David Bowie went to dance music in the 80's. It took about 10 years for the hard-core glam fans to warm up to it. This is kinda how I feel about his techno stuff, I don't really like it, but their are some gems. If you excuse me I must fire up 'im afraid of americans' with Trent Reznor.
What I love about Bowie is the fact that he is constantly trying new thigns. Even when I don't like a particular era of his, he stays near the top of my all time favorites. The guy is simply awesome.
