Did he take his train set?

Well he had potential to be a good defenseman but was rarely used, maybe the draft pick could bring us a huge steal....

More than I would have thought they would get in a trade for him.

Thankfully, these magic beans we got in the deal have been great sellers at the Consol concession stands.

As an aside, how did "chaise longue" (lit. "long chair") become "chaise lounge" in American?

I don't think I like this much for the Pens.  But I hate Lovejoy from college days, even though he's been pretty alright.

He was destined to be a waiver claim someday anyway so a 5th round pick is better than nothing

Anyway, Simpsons update:

Of course Carolina has Skinner and McBain. The Blackhawks have Superintendent Hjalmarsson. The Penguins lose Lovejoy but just now have Bort(uzzo).

Does Peter Budaj still have Ned Flanders on the back of his goalie mask? I so disappointed that Sergei Bobrovsky never wore that Sideshow Bob mask he had made (he said it didn't fit right).

Screw this non-story. Boston just traded Thomas to the Islanders.

I'm genuinely stumped on the chair reference.

...why?

/asking for the Islanders' sake.  Can they get out of DiPietro's contract via that buyout thing or something now?

It's all about cap money. The Isles get insurance to keep them from going below the cap floor and the Bruins get space from the top end of the cap. Thomas isn't going to play, he'll be suspended but his cap hit still counts.

Ah, that makes sense.  Caps are weird.

Heh... So is Timmy going to move out of his right wing yahoo bunker in Colorado?

Thanks for the Cup run and good riddance.

So now the Isles have Nabokov, DiPietro, and Thomas. Thomas probably won't play, but if they decide to keep him, maybe they will trade DiPietro if he really is the backup now.

Flyers to the left of me, Flyers to the right... A pair of the great defenders rose up at me...

Hopefully the Bruins can get a reliable veteran backup for Tukka now.

In other news, Raffi Torres just had a scrap with Jamal Mayers to answer for the hit on Hossa last spring. We all knew that was coming.

Not even through the first period vs. Chicago, and Phoenix has already imploded.

That's easy when the Hawks are getting away with dives again and yet, the Coyotes are just playing like shiat and that's the bigger issue. I'm farking embarrassed by this.

There'll always be a place in my heart for Ben Lovejoy because of this:
