Can't play the video right now, but the article mentioned a gramophone.  Does it play Powerhouse?  Because any invention like this is incomplete unless it's playing Powerhouse.

I was thinking about this. You'd need to average out each ingredient to get an idea of true freshness; an egg laid minute prior doesn't mean much if you're using rancid butter and stale flour. I imagine farmers often make the freshest pancakes, having access to fresh milk, butter, and eggs.

It's true.  The recipient couldn't be such a farmer or the words "you have every had" would not apply.  Even so, average Joe would be hard pressed to find fresher.  Wheat, too, keeps fertile for years and doesn't lose "freshness" at the same pace as the other ingredients.  Once you grind it into flour, though, it's "dead" on the shelf and the oil in it goes rancid right quick.  I fresh-grind wheat I could plant on a regular basis.  Sometimes I sprout it instead.  Butter is easy to make, but here's the rub: how does its freshness vary?  By the age of the milk, the processing time of the butter, or by some function of both?  Regardless, finding intraday fresh milk isn't too hard, but don't tell Uncle Sam.

Even so, I'd lay money this is a fresher pancake than nearly American has ever had.  Even the 3-5% of Americans involved in agriculture/food production don't usually produce every ingredient.  Oddly, I've been thinking about creating "One Farm Pancakes" with ingredients produced on my farm.  You could buy them frozen between the Boca Burgers and the Eggos.  And here's a preemptive strike for the naysayers: you don't need baking soda or powder to make awesome pancakes.

Whip the egg and don't let it sit.  Sustitute some of the oil with butter and whip that, too.  The french are experts at making fluffy things without contrived chemicals; take a tip from them.

It's a Tim Burton movie, so Danny Elfman jangled his shackles and made the insanely catchy "Breakfast Machine" which is like Powerhouse for 90's kids. The in-movie record plays some short forgettable wake up ditty that lasts 6 seconds, sounds like "aAah, aAah, all of the beautiful things".
