I didn't see anything that confirmed moose mortality, just that there were less in MN.  They are called swamp donkeys for a reason.  They probably migrated to the cooler, wetter climate in Canada.  They got em in droves up in Ontario.  So this is probably less of an threatened species issue, and more of an immigration issue.

The articles says the population is down 52% in the last three years because of ticks and possibly all the warm weather lately, but I Guess you have to read between the Lines.  Or, if you Believe All the Lies from the Wacky Alarmists with Regards to the Moose population Implosion, it could be something to do with climate, but either way, this can Not be Good.
