Camels are a real hazard on the road. In Israel, they're the equivalent of White-Tailed Deer in the Eastern US, Moose and Elk in Scandinavia, and kangaroos in Australia (camels and emus are problems on the roads in Australia too). The Israelis have taken to strapping reflectors to camel knees...
