Please. Doughy Pantload, a potato-headed famine-survivor?

He's Lord Taxcuttington of Reaganshire, Fifth Duke of Derp, House of Supplyside in the County Coont.

Trickle down hasn't worked for 30 years, but if we just cut taxes one more time, it will totally work!

That they should become right wing hacks and write for the National Review so they can have an audience that's dumb enough to take them seriously?

They're republican consultants to the Middle East?

Now, on to our brand spanking new revolutionary idea: tax cuts...for the wealthy.

Amirite?

This may be the most painfully stupid article in Fark history. I am literally stunned by Goldberg's (continued) lack of anything resembling a valid point.

"more "investments" in education, infrastructure, and various industries of the future."

That's what we should be doing, you f'in schmuckstain. Instead, you'd rather "kill brown people halfway around the world to prosperity."

Jonah's mom tried the same things multiple times, but she was happy with the results. And, since his mother's career ensured that he never had to earn his place in the right-wing commentariat, so is Jonah.

To sum up for folks who don't want to read the article:  "Fat, drunk and stupid is a perfectly fine way to go through life, and where we're going, we don't need roads."

2013-02-06 11:12:15 AM
I was about to say that compared to the NRO's 'the holocaust wasn't senseless', this 'education isn't worth it' article isn't so surprising, just another example of 'if he's for it, I'm against it' or vice-versa.

Then I remembered that republicans have been staunchly anti-education since long before Obama came onto the scene.

Summed up: "Whatever he's a fer, we's ag'in it!"

You know, because that worked out so well in the last election, right?

Education. Infrastructure. Heck, investment in general. It is sort of cute watching a National Review writer arguing against investment, but then again, the Online version is sort of the equivalent of The Sun or Inquirer of economics...

You know what they say about people that keep trying the same thing over and over expecting different results?

They are bound to misappropriate a quote to Einstein?

2013-02-06 11:21:23 AM
There are people that argue against college, and their argument is sound that you can make more money not going...

Of course, if they went to college they might understand it isn't always about money...

Apparently Jonah Goldberg has never flipped a coin twice.

Building roads and schools is a big reason why God created Democrats in the first place

He's right. America would be much better off today if we hadn't squandered all of our hard earned cash building all those roads and schools. That money would have been much better spent on some aircraft carriers and tax cuts.

2013-02-06 11:23:28 AM
It seems that whatever the ailment, Dr. Obama always writes the same prescription.

Haw haw... yea, how stupid is that? I mean that would be like always suggesting tax cuts to solve every problem...

Except that it did work quite well the first time.

2013-02-06 11:34:24 AM
to be fair, building roads and schools is the best use of a peace-time federal gov't

focusing the federal gov't soley on creating jobs actually reeks of socialism and meddling

of course you can have something in between, which is what we have, but that doesn't bring hits for blogs

"Spending more on education and infrastructure won't drive economic growth."

That's about as far as I managed to get. Probably one of the stupidest remarks I've ever read.

The thought the right was making an effort to look less stuck in their ways and slightly less retarded?!?!

I like how the article calls Obama a liberal.

I don't think that they know the meaning of the word, or anything else.
