I don't normally consider anything copyright related to be LOL worthy, buuuut...

2013-02-06 10:49:58 AM
I never thought I would be happy to see that happen to someone.

I'm still holding out hope that Jong-un is a moderate surrounded by a bunch of crazies and with a little more time he may be able to surround himself with other moderates.  But every time news like this comes out of NK, that hope dies a little more.

Someone here called it yesterday: Best Korea may be able to fark with the US and UN, but they wont be able to withstand the RIAA, MPAA, and other copyright trolls.

But they didn't actually sing it... also, wasn't it really a MIDI?  Does that count?

They should have waited for a Homefront 2 teaser to steal footage from.

Next up, NK declares Youtube removal an 'act of war', and demands oil and food compensation.

I really hope their next video steals from "Team America"

Can we nuke these people yet or what? Keeping them around for the meme is a little risky.

Ya! America really showed those North Koreans! We got a video taken down from youtube!  ...Wait, North Korea does control youtube, right?

I didn't think anyone in Best Korea could afford food, much less a PS3 or xBox.

Think of yourself at age 26.

Now ask yourself the following question:

"Would you like to enact a series of carefully measured democratic reforms that will gradually shift the balance of power to the people while managing the likely resistance from your heretofore loyal generals and intelligence staff.....OR would you like to be a  God King?"

At a minimum your answer will be "can I try the God King thing for a bit to see if I like it?"

Is it just me or is it slightly disturbing that a video containing a scene that is basically North Korea's wet dream: a major American city in smoking ruins; comes from a VIDEO GAME we Americans buy to amuse ourselves?

He removed a bunch of his father's generals from power...they just basically went away. I don't usually like to assume that they're dead, but you can be pretty sure they're probably dead.

It's just you. It's a fictional game. How many movies, books, comics, TV shows, toys, etc. have destroyed America? Hell some have destroyed the world, solar system, galaxy, and even in some instances the entire universe.

It's also worth mentioning that a lot of video games have more endings than just "you die" or "you win", and sometimes at least one of those endings is pretty bad.  I haven't played any CoD games, but I wouldn't be surprised if this scene is showing what happens e.g. if the protagonist decides to run away.

Best thing to do would be to make the next CoD title "Nork Nuke 2014." (Nork is a derogatory term for North Koreans made popular by the game Homefront)

After all, Best Koreans play games as early as 5-years-old to simulate killing Americans.

The only thing is that he has had some contact with the outside world, so you'd think he'd know what's really going on here, but he really seems to be ratcheting up the crazy beyond what his dad did.

My guess would be he's trying to prove himself to the generals who really run things, but he's pushing things to the point where it really seems like a peaceful resolution is becoming far less likely.  shiat, even China is starting to tell NK to calm the hell down.

The King of Spain was 27 when he took over from Franco and started dismantling the facist state. Then again, he was raised in different circumstances and is probably the exception.
