And, of course, "Florida" would have been funny as hell.  Mean, but funny.

/Greatest postseason meltdown ever.

What would have been funnier is if the Cubs made the decision in February to not reserve Wrigley in October.

The 2004 Yankees would like a word.

Tyrone Biggums: The 2004 Yankees would like a word.

Huh.  don't remember that one.

wouldn't the 2007 Mets collapse be bigger?  I forget what it was, but I remember ESPN moaning and groaning, during hte NLCS (Arizona/Colorado) how both were poor matchups against the Mets, WHO DIDN'T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

I know, shocked that ESPN was giving viewers NYC analysis during a Phoenix/Denver matchup...

Which half are they going to play on?

I remember when I used to say "Maybe this year".  I used to say "maybe next year".   I've started saying "maybe my lifetime"

I asked my wife (all serious like) when the Cubs are in the World Series can I have an party/orgy at the house.  Food, strippers, booze, hookers, blackjack, strippers, basic straight up Roman debauchery food and sex orgy during the WS.

She says all serious, "Since it will never happen, sure." and patted me on the leg and gave me a pity smile like you give to a child that wants a unicorn.

/So I got that to look forward to...
//DAMN AIN'T EVER GOING TO HAPPEN!

I'd hope not. That was amazingly bad. Although, it reminded me of playing backyard football as a kid: losers walk.

Being a cubs fan seems quite similar to being a Lions fan.

I suppose they *have* to do this, for a number of reasons (see the 1969 New York Mets as an example, a team that had ZERO business even making the playoffs, based on their record in the preceding 8 seasons), but I quite agree, this is vastly amusing.

I thought they only kicked towards one endzone and that was it. Did the Offense and Defense have to switch sides of the field when possession changed too?

Yes. The offenses had to go in the same direction (towards the west endzone)
