I thought they ran out of room at the Graumans Chinese Theater and assumed DeNiro wasn't as much of an AW as people like Sandler.

My first knee jerk reaction was thinking that you are a complete farking idiot, but after perusing both imdb profiles. I'm just going to slowly back away from this thread with my sincerest apologies.

They always claim to be running out of room, but there's still plenty there.  They got in trouble a while ago after they planned to delete some of the silent film stars to make more space.

The reality is that the "honor" is entirely based on how much bank the star makes for the studios and the theaters.  Adam Sandler is a much more bankable star than De Niro.

Prints in the cement at Grauman's aren't some honor bestowed by some unnamed organization with questionable judgement. They're bought and paid for my the celebs themselves or their agents or affiliated production companies. De Notifications could have had one 30 yeas ago if he'd so chosen.

That's debatable. It's a sad conversation to even be having but which film is worse, "The Adventures of the Fockers" or "The We're Funny Because We're Twins"? It's a sad choice.

Well I'm not saying that "Twins" was high art but that film wasn't one guy yelling, "Hey, you're my twin!" and the same guy in a wig screaming, "Hey, you're my other twin!". And hilarity ensues.

To some degree, it's a testament to DeNiro's self-control as a person that it took him as long as it did to become involved with something like the Fockers series.

/I hope the money have bought him something nice
//like his own island in the Caribbean.

Jay Roach may not be Bertolucci but he's not going to put you in a three-way hand-job scene with Gerard Depardieu. Well, since Borat he might.

Nope.  I still say that anything DeNiro did in the 1970's will trump anything Sandler will do for the rest of his life.
