the "duh" is for Florida's idiocy, still prosecuting people for this.

Keep it up.   we grow like HELL out here on the west coast, and we're happy for the business.  Go Fark yourselves, East coast, just keep sending your cash this way.   haha!

The dude is a perfectly normal guy: just trying to make a living.  The wrong here is the cops.   Article is nonsensical reporting.

"Processing"? What is the term for turning raw vegetable matter into consumable form?

Same guy?  The spot's in the exact same place.  And they even look similar, except for the guy in your picture looks several years younger.

Doesnt it strike any of you as "odd" that a plant can be illegal?

I mean, it's not distilled, or processed, or flavoured or fermented or or manufactured or chemically altered...it  is a plant.

How many non violent citizens have been made into felons because of a plant?

Ok, I'm not normally a Nazi about this shiat, but "unto"...These people stumbled "unto" his operation? Unto means to.

So now I'm having visions of the po-po shuffling and sliding while finding his grow spot. Don't ask. They started it.

Good job Florida. Keep spending money prosecuting these horrible dangerous criminals.

I find it odd that distilling alcohol you already paid the tax on is illegal.

/You can get a permit for anything, I know.

See people, this is why pot will never be legal nationwide, because potheads are dumber than dogcrap.

You grow it while it's in the ground.  Then you process the raw material into finished goods using labor, tools, chemicals, etc.:  manufacturing.  The cops found processed weed, so manufacture charge.  Maybe cultivation is a separate charge.

Yeah, "manufacture" doesn't really apply to pot. All you do is dry it out. No "processing" required. And really, who the fark cares if he grows some dope? Honestly. What a waste of police resources. Nobody has ever died from a cannabis overdose. People overdose on aspirin every single day.

The effects of cilantro overdose are thinking soap is delicious and drinking all the detergent in your house.

That's a given, cuz I don't sell the stuff. But really, all that's required is to dry it out so it can be smoked. WTF else do you think is required??

Just googled, and wikipedia gives an overview. Apparently you get better results drying the buds for 24 hours, then putting them in a bag for 6 hours ("curing"), then dry for 12 more hours, then cure for 6 more hours, repeating for 3-4 days. "The curing process continues breaking down sugars and helps develop taste and smoothness of smoke." Not sure how reliable the info is, could be pseudoscientific BS, but it sounds plausible.

Yeah, that doesn't meet my definition of "manufacturing"...
