I should hope so.

The NFL totally blew it with this popular act that is enjoyed by a large number of women and girls, who ordinarily would not tune in to a football game, thereby giving advertisers a larger audience and allowing CBS to charge higher rates which in turn allows the NFL to command a higher price tag for the rights to broadcast the Super Bowl.

They should have gone with Rush so me and eight other drummers would be happy.

I'm holding out for Muse.

Should I be surprised that they've never invited Dave Matthews Band?

The template is pop acts and geriatric rock acts.  That's it.

While I'm sure Japandroids could have slayed it, tween girls aren't tuning in for that.

DMB, even at their height, never had as broad of an audience.  I just don't see them fitting in.

But then again, I'm not a fan of theirs so I don't know...

Boy, for a secret society, the Illuminati sure are good at getting their name out there.

The ones you really need to watch out for are the Flzdzurback Conglomeration. But, I've said too much already...

Halftime is focused on luring viewers who wouldn't normally watch. I think I saw more comments about Halftime than the actual game on twitter and Facebook. I think a majority of people are complaining just because she performed at Obamas inauguration and is a "Liberal"with feminists view.-All female performance and messages/lyrics etc.

so all she did was throw up the Illuminati pyramid sign. nothing compared to Madonna's ritual last year.

They are hiding in plain sight and getting a kick out of it. Mention "Illuminati" to 95% of the SB viewers and they'd respond "huh, what? whar chicken wings?"

/It's all true. The Illuminati controls it all.

Jay-Z and Beyonce aren't part of the "secretive" Illuminati. Did you see her triangle? It's more like a diamond, true Illuminati wouldn't have poor finger control while throwing up their gang sign.

When she briefly morphed into Shiva i was a little surprised, but that's it. Disappointingly no one else seems to have made a .gif or article about that i can share with you.

The diamond thing with the hands has been used by a professional wrestler before, i suppose he's in on the global conspiracy.

2013-02-04 06:18:15 PM
I thought she sucked and I like most of her songs.  She only sang the last song and that was only about 1 min of it, the rest of the time she just said random things to the mic.

2013-02-04 06:19:13 PM
Too bad the Illuminati couldn't have made the sound better.  I was already to get snarky about lip synching, but it was impossible to tell because the whole performance sounded like it was recorded by rubber microphones strategically placed under under mattresses wrapped in marshmallows swaddled in woolen blankets.

The huge display wall/ceiling thingy was actually pretty cool.  They need to sell that to Weird Al so he can make it rise up off of the stage when he plays "Frank's 2,000 inch TV."

2013-02-04 06:36:43 PM
The only thought going through my mind watching the halftime "show" was: PLEASE BRING BACK PRINCE. His songlist was stellar and his band ACTUALLY PLAYED. All Beyonce did was re-create her silly music videos.

Bob Clearmountain cried.

I'm reading Going Clear right now, and it is amazing how farked up L. Ron was. While he was developing Dianetics, he was terrorizing his wife he was kinda sorta married to (on account of being married to his first wife when he married his second). He beat her up, forced her to have abortions, and he kidnapped their daughter. Apparently he was also hooked up with an adherent of Crowley's, so Scientology took a lot from the OTO. Which, is of course how we link Scientology to the Illuminati.

No one comments that we have this link (well, one similar) like 5 points down?

Show was dull. Dancing was good, singing wasn't, never liked her songs so that's to be expected, and I'm not stupid enough to think she can sing at full diva volume and still dance like she did.

Was floored to see the other two Destiny's child people up there, I would have never, for a second, expected her to ever share the limelight with anyone again.

Give it another two decades or so for Generation Y to reach middle age and the NFL will be grovelling for them to perform.

I vaguely remember reading that they are reuniting for a tour soon, so it was just opportunistic advertising.

Reminds me of one of Madonna's tours. She's playing outside in the winter in Japan. Leather jacket and tights! "No one told me it was going to be snowing!"

I didn't mind the soft-core porn show at halftime, and it made me feel good about myself never having heard one of those songs before.

How many people are going to have to die before club and stadium owners figure out that setting off fireworks and having flaming pyrotechnics indoors is not a good idea?

That would actually be pretty funny, because I'm sure a lot people who would be watching that aren't into alt-rock/prog might not know what "fuzz factory" or a "kaoss pad" is and assume they're playing with a broken guitar.

For most of the set I was thinking that she won't be accused of lip syncing this time, because she hardly did any singing.
