He is a very talented athlete but until he keeps it clean, no Jedi for you Joey

And he should have lost since he just cost me the last three days of gains I had.

Dude just won a Super Bowl where he tossed 3 TDs and 0 picks.  He's been stellar throughout the post-season.  Why *wouldn't* he be considered an elite QB?

I think Flacco's a great QB.  Actually defended him a fair bit over the years as Ratbirds fans cursed him.  But it's hard for me to put him in the same league as Brady and Pey-Pey.  The word "elite" gets thrown around too much.

...adding: Although if we're going to consider Dilfer something other than a complete moron and allow him to be taken seriously on ESPN, then Flacco is farking Unitas.

I think Dilfer has turned into a pretty good analyst, myself.   I like that he tries hard not to be a cheerleader.   I thought Boomer Esiason was going to run down to the 49ers locker room and act as ColKap's personal fluffer for most of the game.

Elite wide receiver + efficient (but not elite) quarterback + solid run game = Ravens offense

Which Ravens WR do you think is "elite?"  Anquan Boldin isn't in the top 20 of any stat used to measure wide outs, and neither is Torrey Smith.  They're both pretty efficient wide outs, and are both "sure hands" kind of people, but Dez Bryant they ain't.

Perhaps the market wants to see the team back in its proper home - Cleveland, Ohio.

Flacco won a Super Bowl by going out and outplaying on back-to-back weekends the two Quarterbacks that define this generation of players, each of whom is perhaps among the five greatest QBs in history.

Whatever "ups" Flacco gets for his performance this year, he's earned them.

Flacco doesn't get any respect because he plays for Baltimore. The Ravens don't get any respect because Baltimore is simply not a football town. Never has been, never will. Seriously, "hundreds" of fans rushed out into the streets after the SB victory and I believe those numbers to be an inflation.

Flacco would be the second coming of Jesus if he played in a different town.

Flacco doesn't get any respect because of the movie "The Replacements."

I never thought "elite" was supposed to be THAT exclusive. "One of the best of all time" is what people usually throw around regarding Peyton/Brady. I'm pretty sure Carson Palmer and Steve McNair were called "elite" in their day.

Flacco needs a good stage name.  Like Joe Falcon.  Or Joe Flamenco.  Anything other than Flacco, which I find impossible to type on my phone without it trying to autocorrect it to Flaccid.

I'm not sure what Baltimore you heard about, but the one I live in was farking insanity on Sunday night and at the parade on Tuesday...

You're being redundant here.

Dez Bryant was 8th in receiving yards and 3rd in receiving TDs this year.  He had the 3rd longest reception of anyone in 2012, and was 9th in the league for YAC.

As a point of just exactly how elite Baltimore's WRs aren't, the guy with the most YAC on that team was Ray Rice, who was 10th in the league.  Rice only had four fewer catches that Boldin did.

Bryant is a moron, but the dude is an elite receiver as demonstrated by his name being at the top of most lists having to do with receptions.
